The buzzing of a phone, on my hip, woke me up. I started to get up, but was pulled back down by Luke's arms. I gazed up at him and saw that is eyes were still closed and his breathing was still even. I tried to roll over and grab my phone and see how long we had been asleep and also look at the texts and miss calls I had. I grabbed my phone from its place on the nightstand when I felt another tug on my waist.
"Where are you going?" he questioned pulling me into his body. His phone buzzed again and he groaned as he unwrapped his arms from me and pulled it out of his pocket.
I removed myself from the bed and walked in the kitchen to get a drink. It wasn't until then that I remembered that I didn't have any cups. I dipped my head down to drink straight from the sink.
"What are you doing?" Luke asked walking into the kitchen. He looked at me with a wide grin on his face.
"Well, it's kindof hard to drink water out of a glass if you don't have any, so this was the next best thing." He walked over to me and pulled me into a hug, which I returned.
"Are you okay? After everything that has happened?" he whispered in my hair. I began thinking about the previous events and forced the tears away. I just nodded my head not trusting my voice. He pulled away just enough to see my face.
"Luke! Your eye!" As I mention it he ducks his head and turns around, heading for the living room. I stepped in front of him stopping him. "Wait. Just let me look. Please."
He raised his head enough for me to see his eye. I grazed my finger tips over the purple and blue bruise that had formed around his eye. "I'll get you some ice," I replied as I rushed to the refrigerator to get the ice. He rolled his eyes, but didn't refuse.
I pulled some ice out of the ice box and place it in one of the two dish towels I had. I handed it to Luke and he took it with a smile and placed it under his eye.
"Thank you," he said before standing and walking over to the bathroom.
I rolled my eyes at him and walked in the living room deciding I needed to unpack some of my things.
I had my back to the bathroom when it opened. I turned to ask Luke if he would help me. I was greeted by something I didn't expect.
Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I have been super busy with school and STAAR test coming up and ag competitions. I will update again as soon as I can. Love you guys and don't forget to vote it up.
