"Did you hear that they're talking about moving Sasuke into a different village's prison?" My mother had mentioned to my father while she was cooking breakfast that next morning.

She had no idea that I was standing in the hallway, she probably figured that I would still be asleep. But little did she know that I spent most of last night thrashing in bed or crying.

"Where did you hear this?" My father grumbled, he was probably reading the newspaper and drinking coffee at the kitchen table. He wasn't one to like talking about Sasuke. Especially after what he had done to me a few months ago.

But this was their normal routine in the morning: sharing the village gossip with each other while mother made breakfast.

"Oh, Ino's mother was talking to Ino this morning in the shop. I guess someone had gotten in to see Sasuke without the Hokage's permission... Do you think Sakura had anything to do with it?" My mother had asked softly- probably hoping that I wasn't awake yet so I wouldn't hear this conversation.

"If anyone had something to do with breaking in to see Sasuke..." My father had taken a sip of his coffee, "I would pin that Uzumaki boy."

'Well. They both were on to something.'

"I also heard that something had happened in the prison last night." My father mentioned after taking another sip of coffee. "That one of the prisoners had committed suicide last night."

"Oh really now?" My mother had stopped whatever she was doing, probably wondering the same question that made my blood run cold. "You wouldn't think..?"

"Well... I would have to think that he at least has some real problems witnessing his entire clan being murdered before his eyes." My dad had admitted. "He worshiped his father, especially at a young age. Remember when his father told Sasuke that he and Sakura couldn't be best friends because she was of a lesser clan?"

I narrowed my eyes, I didn't remember that.

"They were so close too." My mother muttered sadly; as if it was one of the worst things to have happened to me. "Mikoto loved having Sasuke and Sakura play together on the playground." She sighed sadly as she turned off the kitchen stove. "Sasuke had kissed Sakura one day and swore that he would become the best ninja in the village to protect her. But they were so little- I doubt they would remember that today. Now that I think of it- I don't think even Sakura knows Sasuke was her first kiss."

Now I remembered that happening. But what I didn't remember was that it was Sasuke. I thought that it was some random boy that I had met on the playground and one day he had just up and vanished. Mother and I had gone to that playground several times after that boy, Sasuke I guess it was, had kissed me. I asked mom about it- but she would try and brush that question off and distract me.

'Was that really Sasuke?'

"Oh, Sakura!" My mother called as she took a step into the hallway, her cheeks flushed when she noticed me. "I didn't realize you were there! How long have you been awake? Do you want some breakfast? Shizune asked if I would send you to Tsunade after you got up and ready!"

As she took a few steps towards me, I took a slow step back.

I felt as if the walls were moving, processing the gossip that my parents had just shared with each other. Moving Sasuke to a different prison? That wasn't totally unexpected, but the sucide in the prison was setting me on edge. Making my mind run through a million possibilities.

But only concluding to one; terrifying thought.

I turned from the kitchen, running outside the house in my pajamas. The ground outside was still wet from the storm last night, but it was oddly warm today. I heard my parents calling out to me as I sprinted outside- but I didn't care. I had to know if something happened to Sasuke.
