Chapter 11

Hailey's POV.

I walk up to my room and throw my book bag down onto my bed. I sigh in relief because school is over and I don't really have any home work. I sit near at my desk and write in my diary.

I've realized that my feelings for Jace have gotten stronger since we started hanging out. I feel like I need to let him know, but I don't know how to. please like writing in here is going to help anything, it's not like I'm telling him right now. I'm just writing in this dang book.

If only I could just blurt out how I feel about him. We obviously like each other. I just need to treat myself to Starbucks.

"Mom!! Dad!!! I'm going to Starbucks!!" I yell as I walk down the steps.

"Okay honey be back soon." mom says.

"Stay away from boys." dad says.

"Okay." I say while shutting the door.

I grab my penny board and ride it to Starbucks. I zigzag and jump over things. When I'm about 5 feet from Starbucks I hop off and run in.

I'm waiting in line and then it's my turn.

"What would you like?" The cashier asks.

"A vanilla bean steamer, please." I say and hand her the money.

"Okay it'll be out in a few minutes."

"Thank you."

I walk over to an empty table. I'm surprised it was empty considering this place is packed.

"Do you mind if I sit here?" someone asks.

"No, no go ahead." I say.

This girl looks about my age.

"So are you new around here?" She asks.

"Yeah."

"Cool. My name is Jade Rose."

"My name is Hailey Henderson."

"So do you goto school around here?"

"Yep. I goto Coronado High School."

"I go there too!"

"So what do you like?" I ask.

"Chocolate, animals, anything that's girly, pink, and I love fashion. what about you?"

"Animals, fan-fictions, clothes, sketching, and stuff that's cool."

"Nice. I'm probably going to leave soon so here's my number." she says handing me a slip of paper."

"Thanks, I'll text you soon."

"Okay." she gets up and leaves.

I finish the rest of my drink and walk home. So I guess I've made a new friend?

I unlock the door and sit down on the couch. I fall asleep and have a wonderful dream. To my surprise I'm awoken by the doorbell. I groan then get up and open the door. Jace is standing there fidgeting with his fingers.

"Hey Hailey." He says.

"Hi. I wasn't really expecting anyone to come over." I say.

"Well I have something important to tell you."

"Okay. what's up?"

"So I auditioned for this show Henry Danger a couple of weeks ago and the producers liked my acting talent and how I read scripts so they gave me the part of Henry Hart."

"That's amazing."

"And I won't be here for most of the time. I'll be gone Monday through Saturday for like half of the day each day."

"So I won't be seeing you as much?" I ask.

"Yeah. I'm sorry Hailey."

"Uh I'll be back."

I walk to the bathroom and literally cry. I need to have a girl talk, so I text Jade from Starbucks.

H- hey can we talk.

J- yeah sure. what about??

H- boy problems. 😔

J- oh my gosh what's going on Im coming over. What's yours address?

H- it's 7492 ColtonHill rd. apt complex room 2b.

J- okay.see u soon

H- but he's here can I just tell you right now.

J- okay.

H- my best guy friend that I have a crush on is gonna be an actor and he won't be able to see me as much and I don't wanna lose him to fame.

J- aw sweetie I'll make sure that doesn't happen.

While we're texting someone knocks on the bathroom door and I know it's Jace.

"Please go away." I say.

He opens the door and sits on the floor right next to me.

"Please just leave, why tease me if I'm not gonna see you anymore." I say on the verge of tears.

"Hailey I swear I'll try to make time for you." he says.

"You're seriously the first guy that's ever been nice to me and I don't wanna lose you because of fame and you won't see me barely. I can't deal with that."

"Look at me." he says.

I don't move my head and he puts his hand under my chin and pushes my face up.

"Hailey you're not gonna lose me."

"How do you know? You don't know what's gonna happen none of us do. "

He rests his forehead against mine and I can feel his breaths on my chin. Our lips were literally inches apart. He slowly places his lips on mine and we kiss.

I breakaway from the kiss.

"Jace this is literally a tease to me. I like you, but I can't stand being away from you and please don't try quit your job because of me. This is probably your dream and I want you to follow your dreams." I say.

"Hailey I know I'll be gone for a while each week, but it's hard not being able to see you. Can we talk about this tomorrow?"

"Yeah sure."

Jace and I hug for a couple of minutes and I lay my head on his shoulder.

"I'm gonna miss you when you're gone." I say.

"Me too." he says.
