Chapter 12

Jace's POV.

I made sure she went to sleep before I left. I really want this job and I really want to spend time with Hailey. I just don't know what to do. The walk home wasn't long just a couple blocks down from her.

My phone dinged indicating a text from my mom.
M-Mom

M- where are you?

J- On the way home be there in less than 5.

M- Okay.
----------

I put my phone in my back pocket and run to the front stoop. I lift up the mat, pull the key out, and unlock the door.

"Guess whose back." I yell.

"Hey tomorrow we're gonna watch Furious 7 so be prepared." my mom says.

"K mom."

I walk up to my bedroom and sit on my bed. I hate the fact that I'm not gonna see Hailey as much. I fly backward and close my eyes.

-NEXT DAY-

I wake up and run downstairs. My parents are making breakfast. Xander walks out of the living room.

"Dude, did you know the surf is gonna be high today." Xander says.

"No I didn't." I say.

We all got in the car and drove to the cinema. We get out and walk inside. my mom pays for all of us and the showing is at 10:30 am so we've got about 30 minutes until we watch it.

We walk around the cinema for a couple of minutes, then we get in line to buy beverages and popcorn.

It's now 10:30 and we go to theater 7. We all try to get the back row all the way up the stairs and we do.

There are too many advertisements and trailers for other movies which take about another 30 minutes. When the movie finally starts I hear a lot of girls squealing.

I've never cried so hard after a movie, but it was just sad how it ended and knowing that Paul Walker is gone is horrible. My parents drive us to Puma and we buy some stuff.

"Can you believe that the first episode of Henry Danger is going to be released on July 26." I say.

"That's amazing. My little boy is growing up." she says while embracing me.

"It's okay mom when I'm not around you can start watching HD and you'll see me." I say trying to cheer her up.

"That's true."

As we're leaving I see Hailey walking around with some guy and she's totally laughing. He's much taller than her and he's eh.

I start to feel rage and my heart drops. Why do I feel this way?
