Chapter 3

Hailey's POV.

I got up extra early this morning so I would be prepared for the funeral. I got dressed in a black dress and white flats.

"Hailey can you come down here?" My mom yells.

I didn't suspect that she would be up this early.

"Um yeah just a sec." I yell down.

I walk slowly down the stairs and my mom grabs my hand then brings me to the couch.

"Sweetie I know this week has been hard in you, but you need to know that we are moving next week. I'm-" she says.

I completely interrupt her and say
"Mom that's great I can actually start off fresh. Thank you guys so much."

"We didn't expect you to be this happy about moving." my dad says.

"Does Anna know yet?" I ask.

"Yes and we told her not to tell you because we didn't want to put stress on you." my dad says.

"Thanks for telling me tho." I say.

I walk up the stairs and put my hair in a messy bun because that was mine and Belle's thing. I grab my friendship necklace that she gave me and put it around my neck. My parents and Anna call me down to get in the car. When we're all settled in the car we head over to the funeral home.

As I step out of the car her parents run over to me and hug me.

"I'm so sorry." they say.

"No. I'm sorry." I say.

They walk with me to the common area where her body is in the casket. I walk over to her body, take the necklace off my neck, and place it right in her hands. I feel tears trickle down the side of my face as I look at her non-living body. as I turn away I see my mom, sister, and dad behind me and I place my head on my dad's chest and cry.

The funeral goes on by and my family heads home. I walk up to my room and start packing because I know I'm moving in 5 days.

I've already packed at least 12 boxes in an hour. I want to be prepared, so I can have everything put in the truck.
