Rhys Lewis - No Right To Love You:
''Cause I have no right to love you when I chose to walk away. I have no right to miss you when I didn't wanna stay and I have no right to need you when I knew what my heart was gonna lose'

A few weeks had passed since their night out and Charles was currently in Bahrain for pre-season testing before the first race in a few weeks. He was flopped down on his bed in his hotel, exhausted after a busy week of getting used to the new car for the season. He sighed when he thought about the mess he had left behind in Monaco. He pulled his phone from his tracksuit bottoms and scrolled to find his chat with Noelle. He hadn't really talked to her after he left her apartment that night and he instantly felt guilty when his eyes fell on the picture she had sent him that night before he came over. Her gorgeous eyes immediately pulled him back into the memory of him being there, tangled up together with her.

After they had finished their activities, Charles laid on the sofa with her on his chest for a while, both of them not saying anything and just thinking about what happened minutes prior. He had lifted her off his body when he noticed she had fallen asleep, carried her to her bed and planted a kiss on her forehead before writing her a little note and leaving her apartment. She hadn't contacted him and he was too afraid that she was going to be mad at him to call her so they hadn't spoken since that evening, seeing as Charles was preparing to leave for Bahrain pretty soon after. He was confused about what he was feeling right now. He knew he had always found her attractive and if she hadn't been his cousin's best friend he would have pursued something sooner, but he had never expected this to happen when it did.

It wasn't that he had romantic feelings for her right away, but he knew that they wouldn't be able to go back to just being friends so easily after this and that scared him. They had been friends for years, he had treated her like a little sister or his cousin his entire life and the fact that she had become more now, made him want to turn back time to when things were easier. The fact that she hadn't contacted him, made him think that she regretted it or that she didn't feel anything more for him anyway, so he had tried to suppress the thoughts about her for the last few weeks, busying himself with work and other things.

But there was something that made her come up in his brain on multiple occasions in the day and Charles knew that they would have to talk about what happened eventually. He didn't know if she was going to yell at him because she didn't want to speak to him or cry because he hurt her, but he knew he should call her and talk to her about it. Maybe she didn't even remember what happened that night. Although she didn't seem drunk at all to him. His finger hovered over the green phone symbol and he hesitated for a moment before he sighed deeply and pressed it anyway. The phone rang a few times before he eventually heard her voice.

"Hello?" She sounded a little out of breath and for a second a flash of her in bed with someone else ran through his mind and his heart sank. It sounded like she didn't know who was calling and Charles shook himself from his thoughts quickly before he answered. "Hey, it's Charles.." He said, closing his eyes to await the inevitable angry screams he was about to hear. "Oh hi, how are you?" Noelle happily responded and his eyebrows furrowed. "Uhh, yeah, I'm good. How are you?" He was so confused, why wasn't she yelling at him? "Yeah, me too. I'm just on a run at the moment". She said and it immediately explained the heavy breathing he was hearing. "That sounds nice.. I'm sorry I interrupted you, I can call back later". Charles said before he heard her giggle.

"No, it's fine. I needed a break anyway. I reached the top of the hill and it's really bright out tonight so I can sit here to look at the stars for a moment while I catch my breath". He pictured her at the top of the hill he ran to every single morning and smiled when he knew exactly where she was right now. "Aren't you mad at me?" It was as if his mouth had a mind of its own because he couldn't stop himself from asking that if he tried. He listened closely when he heard her laugh again and he felt a sigh of relief escape his lips when she answered. "No, of course not, why would I be?" Noelle said, still sounding a little out of breath.
