It's kind of interesting how crying eyes and rain cloud have so much in common. Liquid matter builds up to an overflowing level, and falls on dark overwhelming days. All there is after that is the sound of the rain, both weather and emotion-wise.
If tears are forced back so they don't fall, an ache is created in the front of the throat. It's piercing, it hurts.
Not sure if the clouds do that.
