I look up from my paperwork; my friend and coworker, Officer Doug Penhall, was sitting on the corner of my desk, like he always does.
"What's up, Penhall?"
"Our current case: the drug lords. We bust 'em tomorrow, we go on a date?"
"And if we don't bust 'em?"
He smiles adorably. "We still go on a date."
"Why didn't you just ask me out?"
"Don't judge me, Jenko."
