Chapter 3 ~ Auditions

It's been a couple of weeks and Charlie aced his room audition. He eventually did sing Little Things which I was ecstatic about and he got four yeses!!

*flashback*

We all walk into the waiting room, trailing behind Charlie and Julie. As we sit and wait, I can't help but notice all the good looking guys in the room. The ones with the guitars were my favourites. To be honest, I've always had a thing for guys that can sing and play guitars but the ones at this audition blew my standards out of the water. They were unbelievably attractive!

Dermot then walks over, takes us to outside the room where the auditions are done, then has a little chat with Charlie, and the rest of us all. Everyone's so shocked when he mentioned the fact that he's only 14!
I get the fact that he's pretty tall but when you speak to him properly and get to know him, he has a very immature side to him.

Charlie holds onto my hand tightly, almost squeezing it, I can he's so nervous. His usual smile turned to complete worry. "El, I'm scared."

I put my other arm around his lower back and give him a gentle hug.
"Charlie they will! I bet you you'll get four yeses...and you know why?"

He shakes his head.

"Because you're bloody amazing!!"

Dermot looks over at us whilst I have my arm around Charlie, raising an eyebrow.
"Oooo, is she your girlfriend???" He mouths to him. Due to where I'm stood, I'm able to catch onto what he said so I quickly shake my head and pretend to throw up.

Julie, Charlie's mum, then comes over to him and hugs him so tightly in a warm embrace.

"Charlie, we all love you, no matter what!" She kisses his forehead.

Me and his family all gather round him, giving him a massive group hug, before he turns to enter the audition room.

"Good luck!" I say softly.

Nerves had also gotten the better of me too; all I want is for Charlie to do well in this. Julie comes over and stands by me, sensing I'm nervous. She holds my hand, then crosses her fingers; so I do the same.

Moments later, which felt like a lifetime. Charlie opens the the door, biting his lip. Dermot and his camera crew are behind us all filming. Tears are already streaming down his face. We all stare at him, patiently waiting for him to tell us the news.

"I GOT FOUR YESES!!!" He shouts.

Everyone literally runs towards him and hugs him so hard that he falls over. We're all crying; we're crying happy tears. Julie is the last to let go, she just stands there with Charlie crying on her shoulder.

"I'm so so proud of you!" She kisses his cheek and hugs him again.

By time Julie lets go, Charlie comes over to me and I kiss his cheek and wrap my arms around him. He blushes, slightly and hugs me back. "Thank you for everything Ella, I love you so much!"

The words "I love you" aren't really foreign words when it comes to me and Charlie. When we say it, we don't mean it as in boyfriend and girlfriend - I love you - we just say it in a way that means that we care about eachother and we love eachother as best friends.

Nothing else.

*end of flashback*
