I wake up to the blissful sound of silence, something that I haven't heard in a while. Sleepily I roll over, peeling the warm duvet from my aching body.

The first thing I always do after getting up is check my phone which is on the floor next to my bed. I remember I had a message from Charlie so I go straight to my recent messages.

From CJ😎💘:
"Shit I forgot, I hope you don't mind. Also, I'm not at school for the next week or so because of Judges Houses next week."

To CJ😎💘:
"It's fine don't worry!! And I know!! Julie was on the phone to my mum most of yesterday;)xxx"

"Get up, school starts in an hour!!" Mum shouts from the bottom of the stairs.

The pattering of feet fills the hallway, most likely Dad is late for work or something like that.

Quickly, I tip-toe out of my room to the bathroom next door so that I can get a quick shower. Not even 10 minutes after I get in the shower, I'm already done which must be a new world record or something? A full shower in 10 minutes, I should get an award!

My orange dressing gown to match my towel is hung up on the door so I grab it and put it around me before tip-toeing back to my room.

I hate my school uniform. I have to wear these awful blazers and ties with an ugly skirt that makes me feel like a nun.

By the time I get dressed, brush my hair and put on some makeup, I have no spare time to have breakfast so Grace has the idea of taking me to McDonald's so we can both get breakfast.

Grace is my other best friend. She is like my sister, my other half, the peanut to my butter, the meat to my loaf and all the other cheesy best friend lines. Grace has the biggest crush on Charlie and literally the full school knows...apart from him. It's hilarious and cute at the same time.

"Ella, we've got like 20 minutes to eat these and get to school." Grace panics, dropping her purse into her backpack.

"That's more than enough time, stop worrying." I giggle but she just places her hands on her hips and rolls her eyes.

"I wouldn't mind being late on any other day but today I sit next to Charlie in my first lesson." She blushes.

"Charlie's not even at school today Grace." I smirk.

"What you gonna do today without your boyfriend?"

I can't help but laugh at my comment, so hard that I almost fall off of my chair. Grace ushers me out of McDonald's to save me from embarrassment.

The weather in Kent is either pretty good or pretty bad - usually pretty bad. The wind is getting so heavy now it's heading close to Autumn. My hair blows all over my face

"Grace...help" I shout, pointing to my messed up hair.

She turns to look at me and starts laughing. My neat bun that I had perfected this morning literally looks like a birds nest.

"This isn't funny" I say as she takes the hair that is in my face and tucks it behind my ear whilst trying not to laugh.

"People looking at me will I'm some sort of tramp or something." I say as a couple of pretty cute guys no older than us walk past on the opposite side of the road.

"You are one!" Grace jokes. I stick my tongue out at her causing her to chortle.

"Bitch." I roll my eyes and smirk.

"Love you E!" She exclaims as we enter the school gates. We're greeted by a couple of the girls in our classes however we walk straight over to our social area to save ourselves the hassle of barging through the full school to get up the stairs.
