"What time are they going to be here?" Kelly impatiently asked the same question for the fifth time in a span of eight minutes. I was getting a little bit jittery because so far, Sam hasn't contacted me yet. She promised that she would be here before our parents but I've hear nothing from her after our conversation that morning.

"In ten minutes. Be patient and keep quite." I said steely, not taking my gaze away from my phone. I was in an emotional rollercoaster since I've been dealing with a lot of stuff lately and not having enough sleep plus taking my sister to the mall was just the cherry to the top of everything.

My head was throbbing since my sister's playing that dumb Circle game app thing on her phone. I told her to keep it down a little but she wouldn't budge. What frustrated me more was the fact that she haven't even spilled anything about what ticked her off in that house that we went to in the morning. While we were in the mall, she did a great job in dodging all my questions, diverting them towards a topic so far away from it. I eventually got tired of trying to get her to tell me so I just dropped it.

"Where's your girlfriend, anyway?" She asked, her voice laced with bitterness. I didn't really get why Kelly and Sam didn't get along pretty well. I mean, Sam's just sweet and sincere and protective and honest; epitome of the perfect girlfriend, if you ask me. And I know that my sister could get pretty snappy or rowdy sometimes but overlooking those, she's a pretty great girl.

I was about to open my mouth and whine about Sam probably planning to ditch me when our attentions were torn away by a knock on the door. I was quick to lock my phone, throwing it somewhere on the couch, sprinting towards the door.

"Whoa, you actually showed up. I thought you were-"

"You thought I was going to ditch? Come on, Kellin. We all know I couldn't ever do that." She said as she had that sweet smile painted on her lovely face. She stepped in and cupped my cheeks, planting her lips to mine which obviously, caught me off guard. But, hell, who was I to reject this generous opportunity. Yeah, I was shocked and confuse from the sudden change of air but I wouldn't let a good opportunity drift off.

"What time are we expected to be in the restaurant?" She asked as she pulled away, leaving me with a huge, goofy grin spreading across my flushed face.

"Oh. We're just waiting for my parents. They should be here in a few." I said as I closed the door behind me, following Sam in the living room.

"Hey, Kelly. What are you up to?" Sam nicely asked my sister as an attempt to make small conversation with her. Of course, my brat of a sister shrugged her off, mumbling something that, I'm sure, Sam wasn't able to hear. I sat beside Sam, leaving an almost invisible gap between us. I missed her so much. We've never really had an argument this serious before so when she decided to walk away from our apartment, it felt like my entire life was finally shattering into tiny pieces, dipping their way six-feet underground. Although that was the case, I couldn't deny the obvious, loud thud that that little organ was making against my chest. I could feel the rush of blood traveling to my cheeks. You could say that I really had it bad. What can I say, I could just see myself spending the rest of my life with her. It's just that, whenever I'm with her, it is as if nothing and no one else mattered.

After a few minutes of small talks, a little catching up and stealing little kisses here and there whilst my sister kept on fake-coughing and making disgusted noises, my mom finally texted me and asked me to meet them in them across the street of our apartment. Me, together with the two girls tore ourselves away from the comfortable couch and headed down to our parents.

The car ride wasn't torturous, not like those that you see in movies whenever the girlfriend or boyfriend would hitch a ride with his or her partner's parents. It was far from that scene. My parents knew Sam since we were in high school so they were actually really comfortable with having her around. The family car was filled with happy and genuine laughter as we all talked about our lives after moving in to the city, skipping the dreadful parts where we had our rough edges, of course. Actually, I would give Sam a huge credit for that. She acted and spoke casually, not letting a single word about our failing relationship slip off from her lips. I was just so glad that she didn't tell a single detail about it to my parents.
