"Vic?" Jenna was the one who finally broke the silence covering us. It has been a couple of seconds or so since I turned my head and saw Vic standing behind me. I was obviously stuck in my position with nothing to do but to stare right back at Vic although he had already reverted his gaze somewhere else. I know to myself that I have nothing that I should apologize for or even feel guilty about but for some pretty odd reason, I couldn't help but feel my heart crush. Seeing Vic in such state as he is in that moment, really shattered my insides to pieces.
"I- uh.. I have some.. uh.. things that I should attend to.. I just had to go here and tell you be- uh.. because I didn't want you to wait any longer." Vic somewhat nervously explained mostly to Jenna. He did look apologetic and sincere but I couldn't quite help but to notice the pang of hurt painted all over his fragile looking face.
"Oh. Uhm, that's alright, Vic. I'm sorry if I had to text you in the last minute." Jenna said as she stood up and straightened her plaid shirt. She approached Vic's direction and laid a hand near his shoulder blade and was quick but careful to lead him to the door of the café. Vic didn't bother to take a second glance at me. He just freely let Jenna take him outside without a single protest. Suddenly, the stubborn façade of Vic was gone. I could say that this has got to be the first time that I ever saw Vic obey someone in an instant.
Jenna walked with Vic all the way to where he parked his fancy car. Before hopping to his car, Jenna grabbed his forearm and to what it looks like from the shop's window, they were intensely talking about something but with Jenna mostly lecturing Vic. Vic was just blankly staring at the slightly smaller girl as she kept on babbling about something.
A few more minutes dragged on and with a final word, Vic finally nodded at Jenna. The girl nodded to herself and opened the car's door for Vic. Almost in an instant, Vic was gone. Jenna marched her way back to the coffee shop and slumped down to her seat from before.
"Alright. So, where were we?"
"I- uhm.."
"Oh, yeah, you were going to help me with Tay, right?" She asked as if nothing just happened. As if she just excused herself to go to the ladies' room to powder her nose or something and went back to continue our previous casual conversation.
"Uhh.." My mind was still in that state where I do not know if everything that just happened was real or just a product of my daydreaming session.
"Yeah, of course you're going to help me. After what just happened, you actually owe me at least that." She said in a sassy tone using her thick Australian accent.
"What? What did I do?"
"Oh? You just crushed my friend's heart, is all." She said in the most sarcastic tone that I have ever heard in my life. She shrugged her shoulders and leaned comfortably on her seat as she crossed her arms in front of her chest. "You are going to help me, alright." She said, or more like demanded.

It has been two hours since we left the coffee shop to go to Taylor's house. Jenna told me that Vic wanted to cancel our mentoring session today since a lot of crap has been happening in their bar lately. He could've just texted me that. If he just told me about his agenda, this whole thing wouldn't have happened.
"So. How's this whole asking her out thing goes again?" Jenna asked as she ran her fingers through her blonde hair. I sighed to myself. To be honest, it seems like she has been intentionally annoying me for the past two hours. I haven't asked her anything related to Vic because whenever I tried to bring up a topic about him, she would just shrug the question off. I guess I would have to wait for her to successfully ask Taylor out before I seriously talk to her about it.
