The decision
Shadow pov
Walking down the path into the forest that leads to my place, I began to think about what Faker was talking about. This was a strange request coming from him. Becoming friends with that Faker? Imagine that. But why? Why did Faker want to become friends with me? It made no sense, why all of a sudden? What made him become so mature about this? Then again we have been doing this rival thing for so long. I guess for once he could be right. Maybe it is time to just end it. But friends with Faker? Of all morbians, it had to be him. This just makes no sense. I need some good advice. But from who?
As I was drowning in my thoughts, trying to figure out this weird request from the Faker. I was passing a flowery meadow in the forest near a pink home, I stopped and spotted a familiar pink face. It was Rose. She was talking with a purple cat. Rose must be making new friends. That's very good, she must be maturing as well. I haven't seen her chase Faker, so it must be a start.
As the two girls hug each other and break the hug with a farewell goodbye. The purple cat departed as she walked away in the opposite direction of the path, I was walking away from Rose's place.
I noticed Rose had her hands full,
She was holding a square box with both hands and a small red bag around her left arm.
She was trying to grab something out of it, my guess she was looking for her house keys. She sighed as she couldn't hold the box steady and was struggling to find her keys in her purse. She stopped and glanced as she saw me standing from a far.
I was startled by the sudden glance, I thought she would never notice me. My Chaos, I must have looked like a creep.
"Oh Hi Shadow, I haven't seen you for a while. How have you been?" She said as she smiled softly at me. This girl was always so friendly, she never thought of me as a bad guy. Unlike Faker who always thought I was evil. But Rose showed me otherwise when I nearly planned to destroy Earth. As I was stuck in my thoughts Rose looked at me confused then turned to her front door and then to me.
"Oh where are my manners? Would you like to come in for some cake and tea?" She said as she looked at me with her soft green eyes.
I stared at her as I broke out of my thoughts and blushed a bit, feeling embarrassed if I looked creepy to her. Dear Chaos, this is embarrassing.
"Oh ummm...Yes….sure…..uumm……..that sounds nice." I said as I walked over to the pink female, who smiled at me, then turned back to fiddling with her purse again. Oh Rose, I can't take this anymore.
"Rose you look as though you are in a struggle, let me assist you" I said in a cool tone as the pink hedgehog was taken back. I noticed she blushed as I took the box from her and held it close to my chest, holding it carefully, giving her a chance to find her house keys without dropping the box.
What the hell was in it? Must be a baked good, if she was trying not to drop it. Almost kinda smells like it.
"Oh my gosh, thank you for helping me Shadow" She said as she finally was able to get her gold house keys out of her purse and unlock her front door to her house.
"I thought I would never get that door open," she giggled as she put her keys back in her purse.
"I didn't want to drop my cake, there were leftovers from the bake sale. So it's a good thing you came by, i wouldn't have been able to finish it" she said as she opened the front door and gestured for me to come into the pink house with her.
