After standing in the rain that had been about 20 minutes, the black hedgehog looked down at his shoes. He didn't know what to say. He was feeling used and just wanted to be left alone. He had felt so much regret about the mistake he made with Rouge that finding out he was free to go out with his normal life. Was taking a lot to process. Especially this.
"I love you Shadow. I always have. I wanted to tell you for so long. I waited for the perfect moment to tell you. And-" Sonic began as the black hedgehog looked up at him staring at him. Feeling emotionless.
"And you thought after Rouge was exposed. We would be together? Was that what you were thinking?" Shadow said as he touched his chest looking away.
Sonic felt a pinch in his heart as he looked down as he turned his face away as well. He breathed in and then out, trying to calm his nerves. He had to keep strong.
Shadow glanced as he sighed, he rubbed the back of his head and looked at Sonic one more time.
"Blue, I need time to process everything that just happened. I- I just want to be left alone…..I'm sorry…." the black hedgehog said as he turned away. ~~~~★~~~~★~~~~★~~~~★~~~~★~~~~★~~~~ Shadow pov
I'm sorry Blue…. truly sorry……
I turned my back as I grabbed my emerald and raised it up to the sky.
CHAOS CONTROL!
I teleported away and back to the Space Colony Ark. I needed my time to myself. This was the best place I could think of, I stayed away so long that now I needed a break. After this big mess that bat pulled, I just couldn't really face Blue. Especially after he confessed his feelings towards me. He kissed me. I can't believe he kissed me. It didn't feel fake. It felt so real. He really does love me. He feels the same way for me.
Then why can't I stop feeling this pain in my chest, why does it hurt so much?
I went to my old room as the doors closed on its own. I sat on the bed as I threw my shoes off and curled up in a ball. Putting my hands in my face.
I silently went to sleep, driving away as I laid there in the coldness of my sorrows.
