29. THE FIRST GAME OF THE YEAR

ADVENTURE BAY RANGERS Vs ROYAL CITY FALCONS

Zuma's POV 

After collecting the results, i was ready to go home when my phone started ringing.

"Hey mom. Yeah i got it."

I opened the envelope to check it. But i froze at the name.

Skye Anderson?!

"Mom I'll call u back"

"Excuse me" i turned around to see the same nurse who handed me the reports.

"Yes?"

"Actually i handed you the wrong report. Here, this is the right one." She said and handed me the other envelope. I opened it to see it was my uncle's name.

"Can you tell where skye Anderson's room is?"

"302"

"Thankyou "

"But-"

Before she could complete, i ran towards the staircase. Reaching there i saw the room locked.

Just missed it. But was it really skye?

Skye's POV

Finally it's time, tomorrow we're having our first game of the year. I'm so excited for it. Last days has been so tough for me. But i managed it.

Chase has been acting weirdly since last two days. He's always frowny or grumpy.

Currently we're in the fields waiting for the bus to arrive. Mayor Goodway , coach Evans and coach Cooper are the ones accompanying us.

"Girls, are you all excited for our first game?"

"Yes. Mayor Goodway." We chorused.

"Great. Me and chickeletta too is very excited. See" we looked towards her to see chickeletta sleeping?!

"Get in everyone." Coach cooper yelled as the buses arrived.

Everest and i sat in the very back seat of the bus. "Daisy" i yelled, waving her over.

She walked through the aisle to the back. I grabbed my bag from the seat in front of us letting her sit. Soon Ella, Emerald, Sophia joined.

The journey was pretty short, but felt like years. We reached there in 2 hours.

"All right girls, let's freshen up and practice "

The next day

Time went away quickly, and its almost time for the game. All the cheerleaders are in the changing room getting ready for the match. We did our warm ups.

"Girls we can do this. It's our first game and we have practised very hard. Let's go and show how awesome the Ranger cheer team is." Katie called. Everyone hollered as we grabbed our poms.

"Welcome to the first basketball game of the year.! Let's welcome the home team ; ROYAL CITY FALCONS!" The announcer said. The cheer team and home team walked out as the crowd went wild.

"And now let's join in welcoming our visitors,THE ADVENTURE BAY RANGERS!" she continued as our audience hooped and hollered as our team ran out. We jumped and cheered in joy.

"Let's do the Rangers' rumble." I said. The team agreed and we got into position.

"Stop, drop and rumble!" We said, making a stop sign with our hands, Then dropping to a squat and then rolling on top of another. We repeated it..

The first quarter still going and we're leading but rarely. That's when Carlos got hurt. His angle is twisted badly.

Oh no... Now what?!
