Chapter 31 - Looking

Alina pov

I look up from my computer in frustration wondering if I should visit the logistics department. Obviously whoever put in this data didn't have a clue what they were doing. But once I do I find Mia legs crossed and on her tablet.

She looked so focused with whatever she may be doing. I didn't want her to leave my side and thankfully Sophia hasn't questioned it after I told her about this morning's incident.

I also had to even talk with my security about him as they overlooked the email I sent them to take him off any lists to let him in. That got one of them fired and I have no remorse for someone who doesn't do their job, especially with how much I pay them.

Sighing, I take my glasses off, leaning back in my chair, roaming her body with my eyes. It was much of an attention attractor as she mentioned, especially when she leaned over to scratch some part of her leg. And the skirt ending at her calves was tight in the right areas and very distracting.

My email icon lights up and I check it has nothing to do with overlooking these documents. It's from Mia and I look over to her for a moment before opening it to see many listings of potential houses.

It's sad to say this but she actually listened. I wasn't even sure of it until the image she created for my future was like a fairy tale I wanted to make true,"Come look at them with me."

"So you can give input on them?"

"No, because you're much more of a visionary person than me and I need some of that magic.", She smiles, grabbing one of the chairs in front of my desk and sitting next to me. I slide my glasses back onto the brim of my nose before a hand comes up my back lightly scratching it. I unknowingly moan but I try to focus on the new task at hand.

I hear some shuffling behind me then two hands grasping at my lower neck and shoulders,"You look so sexy with your glasses on Miss Write."She kisses my cheek then gives me a light but needed back massage. I had crossed my legs not wanting this newly formed arousal to get any further but it wasn't like I was stopping her.

The door swings open but she doesn't stop and I open my eyes seeing Sophia,"see that's how you win her over Mia. She never lets me take her to a chiropractor but complains about her back."

"Oh shut up", She snickers before sitting in the one chair from my desk and sadly Mia stops going to sit back beside me.

"What are you two up to now?"

"Oh you know....", I look at my computer at the first cottage that's not so bad looking then to Sophia who looks at me expectantly,"I'm going to move out of the big house. And Mia thought of some wonderful listing that I could check out to finalize my decision."

She starts to smile then frowns, making me worried about what's going through that big head of hers,"But Julia grew up there."

"I didn't say I would sell it. Maybe I'll donate it. It really is a beautiful house and I'd hate to just give it to anyone."

"Who donates houses?"I look over to Mia wondering why I hadn't told her this since although it's small there's a percentage of the company's earnings being donated to them.

"Our Alina here owns a few condominiums or apartments and lets the 'Runaway Teen Foundation' use them and a few others."

I'm not one to ever care for recognition but hearing the next words that come out of her totals me,"That's amazing Alina... Your amazing"

"Yes my friend here sure is but usually she'd tell me off for bringing that up. Is your mind all there Alina?"

"You shouldn't call a woman with pepper spray crazy."

"You didn't take it away from her Mia? And you see how easily she threatens me right?",I laugh along with them, placing my hand on Man's thigh, grinning even more when she crosses her leg over it."I'm so glad she brings a smile back on you Al.", My head whips in her direction watching her smile as she stands and i do too about to chase after the woman who just ran away.

"It was only a matter of time really. While I won't fully give myself credit, you do seem happier now than when I got the job."

"I just wish I had a camera in my office so I could see her run out.", Sighing, I sat back down next to her looking at my watch,"I'll talk to her later but I know she'll just wish me happiness like she always does."

"Well I wish you the same thing Alina."
