Alina pov
"She's right, you know. I was giving this time since we were on break right now. But what about when we go back to work."
"Do what you feel is best Alina."
"You don't want to have a say in this?"
"I don't really know what input would be valuable. I've never been in a serious relationship and this is too new for me to think far ahead. Maybe we should just keep quiet about this for now."
"Have you been with another woman before?"
"Oh I'm not a virgin, I'm experienced in that part, but the woman I was involved with wanted to keep the relationship... unnoticed."
"What happened?"
"Found out that she was still married to her wife. I ended it as soon as I found out and cut off all contact."
"Glad to know you're so noble."
"You know what, you're not looking at this history right in front of you."
"You're not either and you lost track of your mom."
"It's not my fault she walks so fast."
"The Beyer Clock and Watch museum is my favorite. I went there once when I came here and then again when I could actually afford anything there."
We were soon heading out double doors to the inner center of the museum. It's where brunch or whatever they serve here was. But it was fairly crowded, though I didn't care why until some man bumped into me with a fairly good amount of alcohol in his hands.
I scoffed at him regaining myself and placing my hand on her back after seeing the same man fumble and fall maneuvering us to the other side where the giftshop exit was.
At this point she was behind me and I was just dragging her along by her hand. I just wanted to look back at her just to check up but soon regretted it when I bumped into someone. I was honestly so tired of this place pushing past the person until I was on the front steps of the museum.
"Are you ok?"
"I didn't expect it to be so crowded. I don't like being surrounded like that.""They were having some free beer events. That was the only other thing I understood on that sign back there."
"Ah so that's why."
She clutches onto my coat bringing me closer to her and after a moment of much needed air I lean down to capture her lips in mine. She smiles when I leave her just as my phone starts to ring,"This must be Julia. I might have to go home after this."
She nods and I dig through my pocket for my phone immediately answering the call,"Hey honey how are you", Mia taps my side pointing somewhere and I just smile thinking she saw her mother.
"When's the last time you called me that?"My mouth sores at the sound of his voice instantly feeling the same remorse I've had any time we've talked about.
"I thought you were Julia. What do you want, Levi."
"My friend just saw that pretty little assistant and you at some museum. Moving on so soon my love?"
"First, do not call me that. Second, It hasn't even been a minute before we left and your spy already did his job? You must offer them a raise."
"I was just calling to say I have someone too.", I hung up not caring for his next words wondering why I haven't just blocked his number in the first place.
"I've only seen you happy after talking with Julia."Mia came into view and I was almost quick to grab her before realising we were out in public and her mom was right behind her,"Levi was being an asshat and ruined my mood."
"Why'd he call?"
"One of his buddies saw us, which I just found weird."
"Well then let's get out of here but I'm going a different way. Liam's having a crisis of missing me and I want to be there to support her."
"Do you want me to take you home?"
"Yeah, I need to make sure Julia didn't burn the house down. Her cooking skills are just as bad as mine."
"...Can I make dinner for you two?"
"Atta girl."
"Mom for Christ's sake."
"Ok ok now I'm really going."Mia visually waited until she was a good distance away until we started to walk the same way we came.
"So what was that about dinner?"
"You heard me. I'd hate for two writes to starve themselves."
"And it would be lovely to have you over again."
"I'm glad you think so."
