The rest of that week went the same as Monday had. Full of attention and embarrassment not to mention all of the new ways Calum has found to make my life a living hell. I used to like school; I got to see my friends and I did well in it but here we are at 6:30 on a Friday night in my school for a parent teacher conference.I thought they stopped doing these when I was 12 but apparently not. My English teacher had called me and my parents in to her class to talk about me. Sadly my dad couldnt make it but with all his work I've gotten used to that.
"Mrs. Carter, your daughter used to excel in my class but lately I find it looking like she's struggling to keep her grades up. I've checked with her other classes and it seems to be the same." Ohh great this is why we are here. To let my mom know I'm starting to suck at school.
My mom took a breath before looking at me and saying "I've noticed changes about her too, around the house and her personality in general."
Great! My mom and English teacher started talking so I began to look around, trying to occupy myself. I thought of how normally being in school scares me but suddenly at night and with my mom I feel safe.
"Ms. Carter you are aware the school year is over in less then a month, correct?" My teacher asked. I shook my head and let my mom do all the talking. She said I've already applied to 3 colleges which is true, I was so ready to get out of this stupid school. I knew Calum couldn't even dream of getting into the school I applied for, his greats obviously aren't the best.
My teacher started talking about how there is still time to improve my grades even though they weren't terrible. After that he excused us and my mom and I left.
" I'll just be a minute but I have to use the restroom" my mom said. I stood outside waiting when I saw someone pass, I got scared at first because no one was in school at this time but thought it was just another teacher. I relaxed until I saw it walking towards me, I could tell by his ripped jeans and black shoes that it wasn't a teacher, but I did know would it was.Calum had something in this hand, it was wrapped in some paper or something I couldn't tell. He didn't notice me until he got closer and then he looked up at me. I gulped and hoped my mom would hurry, Calum looked as startled as I was but quickly recovered as he raised his hand to slap me. When he raised his hand the bundle fell to the floor and out of the cloth covering it came money. A lot of it probably around 10,000 dollars.
I gasped lightly and he fell this knees picking it all up, when he had collected all his money he stood back up and got really close to me.
"If you tell anyone about what just happened I swear to got I will make your entire life even more of a living hell." He spat before pushing me to the ground, I hit my head on the wall as I slid down it.
He ran away as my mom started walking out, I stayed on the floor too exhausted to get up again. My mother didn't see anything but also didn't question it she just helped me up. We drove home where she sent me to my room to study... on a Friday...
When I got to my room I looked at my Calender and marked the day off, counting the days till graduation. Graduation is what I've been looking forward to since the bullying started, it will be my escape, I'll start as a whole new person. A much happier person.
I smiled a bit as I thought about it, my freedom. But after a while decides to change into something comfy and watch YouTube on my laptop until morning.
