"Thanks Liv...that was awesome" Luke smiled putting a plate into the sink and turning on the water. "Its fine Luke, just leave them...your welcome." "No, its fine..." He smiled as he started washing his plate. Olivia stood up and smiled as she stood next to him. He held out his hand and she looked at him. "I dont mind!" He told her. She nodded as she handed him her plate. "Why are you like this to me"? She asked looking up at him. "What do you mean?" He asked looking at her. "Its just....you guys talking to me when i first came here...and you here now...eating breakfast and washing dishes...back home the only way a boy would talk to me was 'Hey you got a pen?' or even 'What time is it?' Thats if they even asked that!" She laughed to herself before turning away.
There was a short silence before Luke spoke. "Well, thats stupid. If i were at your school back home i would still speak to you. People are different..." He smiled at her. "Yeah, you got that right. People here are so much...nicer" She smiled and sighed. "Really....that means a lot" Luke chuckled. "I'm being serious...but i guess all teenagers can be idiotic people...just depends which line you fall into" She smiled up at him. "Dont worry...you and the guys fall into the good line" She giggled and tapped his shoulder. Luke laughed as he put the plates onto the side of the sink. "I dont know...i think the most thing i miss is when it was sunny back home, Tash and I used to go to this little park. It was a half hour walk from our school. I used to love the swings" She told him.
"Did you not have a beach?" He asked her. "Nope, not where i lived...if we wanted to go to a beach it had to be a sunny day in July or something...we had to get a train from where i lived to just outside Scotland..." She told him. "Oh, cool. I love the beach, too much actually. Theres nothing like walking around in thongs at the beach and relaxing in the sun." He told her. Olivia's face dropped. "Umm...wearing what?" She asked. "Thongs?" He repeated. "Im sorry, is that something different here?" She asked holding in her laugh. "Its shoes...jandles?" He asked her. "Like sandles? Jelly sandles?" She asked and watched as he nodded. "Oh okay! haha! oh my....no its just...where i live...thongs are much different!"
Luke laughed as he turned to her. "What are they back home?" Olivia sniggered a little. "Im sorry...they are...underwear...but not full at the back?" She tried to explain. Luke stood with a raised eyebrow. "Y'know like...butt-less underwear....girls wear some...some guys...its just a line of fabric that buries itself into your ass" She burst out laughing and so did Luke. He turned a bright shade of red. "Oh my gosh! i am sorry!" Olivia laughed. "Wow! Talk about different styles!" Luke laughed. "Look here..." She grabbed her phone. Searching on google and showed him a picture. "Oh okay! got it!" He looked away. "Sorry, but it was hard to explain....okay so thongs here are...sandles" Liv nodded.
"Y'know...theres a park not far from here...you wanna put away your adult-hood and check it out?" Luke smiled at her. Olivia looked at him at as she thought. "Swings and everything" He nodded. "Okay, i would love that" She laughed. "I think i'll stay in uniform...not make you feel left out" She giggled. "You can leave your bag here" She told him as she cleared the counter and put away the syrup. "Cool. Is your bathroom upstairs?" He asked. "Yeah, one is....where my room is, its two doors down from that." "Awesome, be back in a minute" He told her before walking out of the kitchen. Olivia nodded and cleaned up the rest of the kitchen. She walked out to the hall and headed into the downstairs bathroom.
As she walked out the bathroom and into her livingroom, she took her earphones and light zipper jacket. She needed pockets for her phone. She put it on as Luke walked into the livingroom behind her. "Ready to go....ditch and play at a park?" He smirked at Liv. "Yeah, like any other senior at school" She laughed. "Lets go" He chuckled as they both walked to her front door and out.
