Olivia had her headphones on, her music up full as she lay across her bed. She was finishing her last exam tomorrow. It was a wednesday, and everyone was finishing their last classes and exams of school. She felt someone shake her ankle and she turned to see her mom smiling. "Hi..." Liv managed to figure out what her mom said. "Hi" She sighed taking off her headphones. Her mom widened her eyes as she sat down on the edge of her bed. "Wow, loud music" She nodded. "Yeah, its fine..." Liv sighed as she wrote down notes in her notebook.
"Have you spoken too....?" "No." Liv butted in. "Olivia, its been a week...." "Ive been studying..." She told her mom. "Olivia...sweetie, you've been avoiding your friends" Her mom sighed. "I havent..." Liv shook her head before sighing. "I...uh...i have my interview tomorrow" Her mom told her. "Yeah. I have an exam" She replied back. "Is that a way to kick me out?" Her mom asked resting a hand on Liv's ankle. Olivia shook her head a little. "Liv, Michael's been trying to get to you. He's been calling...even to the door." Her mom told her. "WHat?" Liv turned her head. "The other day when you were out with your dad...." She nodded. Olivia turned back and shrugged.
"Sweetie, your not a cold hearted person....i know..." Mom! Im not going to talk to them, then leave! You know how much that'll hurt? Especially with Ashon. Mom, i like him so much that im doing this for him!" She turned to her. A grin grew on her moms face. "So you do like him" She giggled. "You dont even know the half of it" Olivia turned back around. "Honey...tell me...im your mom, your friend...im here for you" Her mom told her.
Yeah, because telling your mom that you've slept with a boy you've known for 4 months is okay in a parents book. "Mom....please" Liv sighed. "Have you guys....kissed?" She asked. "What if i said yes?" Olivia asked. "Then....i would say, thats very good. You've liked him for a while honey. Does he like you?" She asked. Olivia nodded. "He told me he really liked me" She shrugged. Her mom gasped and she turned. "Sorry...cute" Her mom told her. Liv shook her head as she laughed a little. "Cant you just talk to him....or Luke! your friends with Luke!" Her mom shook her leg. Olivia thought for a moment. Turning to her mom she sat up.
"Can i....?" "Yes, you can go out" Her mom nodded smiling. "Thanks mom, i'll be back soon" She smiled before getting up. She slid on her shoes, and grabbed her phone before walking out her room and down her stairs.
To Luke :
"Luke? Are you busy? can i come around?"
Olivia walked out her house, and down her street looking into Calum's garden. It seemed quiet. She walked past, out of her street before her phone chiming.
Luke:
"Sure Olivia! x"
Olivia smiled, as she made her way to Lukes house. It was only a few minutes.
Once she got to Luke's house, she walked in the gate and up to his front door. His parents cars werent there. They could be out. She knocked a few times and stood waiting. Maybe it wasnt the loudest but hey. She knocked again a little harder, but the door opened with the force and Olivia made a face. Should she walk in? "Uh...Luke?!" She called out as she walked in his front door. "Your door is open" She told the empty room. Olivia walked into Luke's living room....voices were getting closer, or she was getting closer to them.
She walked further slower and slower as she walked to the kitchen and listened. It was Luke and Calum.
"Y'know bro...i dont understand why you didnt tell Michael" Calum spoke. "Uh, you do. He blabs everything! If i told him, she would know the next day...or sooner!" Luke told him.
"Luke, Ashton likes her! It doesnt give you the right to not like her, im just saying....if you moved quicker, you couldve had her" Calum sighed. "How could i move quicker?! She likes Ash. Why would she liked me anyway, she calls me friend and im a tall, awkwards shy guy...yeah attractive" Luke spoke.
Olivia walked to the kitchen door and stood. "Luke you shouldve told her. Now, she could be leaving and...." "You dont get it Calum...I can walk up to her and be like, Hey Olivia...i like you. Like, like you! More than a friend, i dont want to leave and i know you liked my friend but how about we give it a shot?" Luke sighed shaking his head. Olivia stood, frozen as she listened to the conversation.
"I dont see the harm....a few weeks ago, when you said you were with her. You couldve said..." Calum shrugged and folded his arms. "Wow, are you sure Mikey dont like her too?" Calum looked at Luke. "No, he said she was like his long lost sister" Luke shrugged.
Olivia walked in. "Luke?" She spoke quietly. Calum turned, eyes wide and so did Luke. "Hey Liv...you didnt....?" He began to ask. Olivia stood, a shocked expression on her face. "I think she did...." Calum made an 'oops' face before looking at Luke. Luke began to chuckle, but that faded. "Shit!" He cussed, before walking out his back door. "Luke!" Olivia called after him.. She looked at Calum and he held his hands up. "Hey, dont look at me.. I told him to tell you sooner" He shrugged.
