Prologue

Lilith's 16th birthday (3rd April)
When I woke up today mother was gone already which I was grateful for as it meant I could complete my birthday routine without any disturbance, I got the money I had saved up from under my bed walked to the bathroom did my thing, and got dressed in my hole covered black leggings and my bleach stained band shirt and my canvas shoes that were two sizes too small then quickly left without another thought.
Today, my first stop was the corner shop to pick up my usual birthday, two bottles of jack daniels, and a bottle of vodka.
I know what you're thinking, how can you buy that you're only 16? and how is it usually when you're only 16?
Well, the answer is simply no one around here gives a shit, and if they do I look old enough so they don't question me and for the other question I was forced to drink when I was 12 and got blackout drunk, turned out I actually liked the dizziness.
After paying, I quickly went to the bakery next door and bought a red velvet cupcake, my favorite flavor, and colour, perfect! Once I paid I began walking home.
Once I arrived home, I searched for the only thing I will wear on my birthday, my red hoodie. It was long enough to reach my knees so I pulled on some shorts, pulled my hair in a bun, and put on my slippers, I don't know why but every year I have the sudden urge to hide away from the world on my birthday and I love it.
After I got dressed I went downstairs to find the video player and my tapes. I found them right where I left them last year, dragged them upstairs, connected them to the tv, and played my favorite movie, Annie. I then sat down watching the movie drinking my jack daniels and eating my cupcake.
Once the movie had ended I decided it was time for music and vodka so I went downstairs with the bottle in my hand and turned the radio up.
Dancing around the house to "Mr.Brightside" by The Killers whilst gulping down my vodka and singing my heart out.
"Cause I just can't look, it's killing me and taking control!" I belted out and did a spin causing me to grip onto my bottle tighter and began laughing. That's when I heard the most demonic laugh I've ever heard.
I turned around so fast I dropped my bottle and was faced with three hooded men all staring at me with their arms crossed. I began screaming out of impulse before I placed my hands over my mouth.
" I thought she said she was boring, she looks like she knows how to have fun and Damn have you seen her ass, you sure this is her?" the middle one said whilst taking a step towards me causing me to pull my hoodie down desperately trying to cover myself up as I took a step back.
"W-wwwhat do you want with me, who are you?" I whispered only to blush when I slurred and stuttered my words at the same time not realizing how drunk I was.
" Yes, it's her, you idiot, look at the photo." the one on the right said as he pulled the middle one back.
" Hello Lilith, we're here to collect what the boss is owed." the one on the left said as I began to walk towards me.
"How do you know my name and what are you owed, how much is it now a grand or 2? If you give me a few weeks I promise I'll give it to you. Just don't hurt me, okay it's my birthday.'' I exclaimed trying to think of ways to get fast money as I walked backwards until the men laughed, causing me to miss my step and fall on my ass. Perfect!
" well it's your lucky day, today your mom came to us early in the morning telling us we could have you instead of paying for her debt, at first boss said no but after some convincing, she got her way, and now birthday girl it's time to come with us," the man who was originally on the left said as he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me over his shoulder.
At first, I started screaming and crying whilst trying to pry myself from his hold. It wasn't until I felt a large hand slap me did I quiet.
The man who was in the middle originally pulled me from the man's shoulder and dropped me on my face,
Wow thanks, dude, nice that one stung.
"Well, will you look at the birthday girl who isn't wearing pants, just some flimsy shorts? How perfect, maybe I'll have to find some way to keep you quiet hmm?" He said as he pulled my hoodie up exposing my shorts more, I lay there frozen as the familiar terror sets in until he pulled up my hips from the floor and pushed me into the wall.
Once I hit the wall he started to run his hands over my body leaving me sick to my stomach but once he touched the hem of my shorts I lost it.
I turned around head-butted the guy taking him by surprise knocking him out but I continued my attack punching him in the nose with all my might hearing a snap I began scratching at his eyes with my nails until one of the other guys crept up behind me and I felt a scratch on my arm, I turned o see one of them was injecting me with something, I turned back around to take one final punch in the eye and just as I heard the satisfying crack of his bone and the saw blood start to pour from his face everything turned black as I sat there with a sick smirk on my face.

That was six years ago after I woke up I found out that I had nearly killed a guy and the boss was impressed and instead of using me as a punching bag he wanted me to train like everyone else and I did, I then became the best assassin in the world named the Red Raven by my combat trainer and I guess it just stuck, she said I was to be called the red raven due to my red hair and ability to bring death upon whoever I chose.
