Chapter 2

Hi buddy! It's still summer. Me and my Daddy's rest started on July, a month after the summer began. I can still remember the first date when I wrote in your first page using a third person's point of view. I did that for a few times but realized that expressing my thoughts very well is better.

I'm sorry for not visiting you oftentimes. I only write to you when something best happens to me because there's no much exciting things that's happening to a kid like me.

By the way, I haven't told you but I'm actually homeschooled. My Daddy is an architect and he's always put far away from home, I'm a Daddy's girl so he couldn't leave me behind that's why Mom and Dad decided that I'll be homeschooled. Wherever Dad goes, I'm with him, and I face the teacher alone using Daddy's laptop when he's working. I'm always left alone in a condominium where we'll stay for month/s while Dad's contract is on going.

This set-up started when I was 8 and I'm now 10. I'm pretty good at being alone, as long as Dad would check on me through calls and bring me my favorite foods at night. My Mom never failed to facetime me everyday, she tried persuading me to stay at home with them but I just can't stay far away from Dad. Daddy is my world and I got used to being his tail since I was a little baby.

My Daddy works in his own shop before. We were in a simple house and we had a simple life not until he pursued his dream job for our better future. When he found out that I'm always crying inside my room because of longing for him, he told Mommy that he'll take me with him instead. Mommy disagreed at first but Daddy told her that he's gonna hire a nanny to look after me. My nanny took care of me for 1 year and a half, we pack our things together, eat together, and such things. But...

She passed away.

Oh no...don't be sorry, okay?

It's fine. I told Daddy that I can handle everything alone. He'll leave at morning but before that, he'll prepare my meals. Sometimes I eat cereal so I could eat what he prepared at lunch. I know how to take a bath too, I'm 10, okay? I know little things that kids should do when their parents are not around.

I don't wanna replace the best nanny.

I don't wanna lose anyone at all.

Now that it's summer, I'm in my home. Me and my sister plays a lot but most of the time, I love reading books more. I love listening to music and skimming the magazines too.

Hey...don't criticize me but tattoos are cool, right? Here in our country, tattooed persons are not respected. I don't want to be disrespected but I hope I could get one tattoo someday.

By the way, I told you about my sister Sohee, right? She's always playing outside tho she's 12 already. She plays a lot with our cat neighbors lol. Know why I call them cat? The Hwang sisters both have cat eyes as well as their Mom. I haven't seen their Dad yet. I only played with them twice. I don't know how to play with them. I'm kinda shy. I always watch them from my window.

Wait—it'll be my first time introducing someone to you but I think I should tell you about her. The one who's named Yeji. She's the one who grabbed my hand in the first page hehe.

Omooo...why do I feel like my ears are burning hot?
