I'm laying here on the rooftop of this bar while Sol unnie's drinking some beer, staring at the sky.

"How was their relationship?" I curiously asked.

"It was pure and good. Sohee did this and that, Yeji was there to support her. Sohee does something bad, Yeji will scold her in a modest way. That's that, Ryu." Sol casually stated.

"I thought you'd end up with my sister..."

The sound of her choking on her beer makes me laugh, "You fine? I really thought so..."

"Sohee and me? You must be a clown your whole life." Sohee said. I let out a grunt when she threw the empty can of beer at me.

"How's Yeji...she acts unaffected." I gets up to sit and hug my knees.

"She can't remember a thing. What do you want her to do? Cry at every information she'll find out?" Sol sarcastically asks, "You're dumb."

I heavily sigh, chin placed on my knees, eyes looking at the starry sky. "I'm not the one to cry but y'know what? I feel like I'm envious of everything. I feel like...I wasted a lot of years taking the wrong path I thought was right." I stated and again, my tears started to form in my eyes.

"You don't know that you're still wasting much time, dummy." Sol burp as she turn to face me, "I didn't know if I'd be proud of you because I have a neighbor who's studying abroad. But since Sohee's so proud of you, always bragging your name if she'd get the chance...then maybe I'll just feel the same way so she'd feel the support."

All those time...I thought Sohee doesn't care about me.

"I told Sohee about my dreams and she achieved it perfectly." I mumbled on the air.

When we were kids I would often talk about having tattoos, Karaoke bar since I love music, arts everywhere—I dreamed of those things. Also, I dreamed about having that girl who can't remember a thing now. I still remember when she said her memory was too good that she remember every inch of our memories.

"She even looks like you but taller." Sol's grin appeared when she sees my expression changing.

"She's not that tall anyway." I said and got up, "I need to go. I might lose a girlfriend if I continue to be like this." I put my hands in my pocket, feeling the cold breeze of air.

She turned back to the starry view and flicked her finger on the can, "So what if you lose her? Do you want to get tied with someone you don't love?" Sol asked which made my face blank.

"We've been together for long. I love, Jisu."

"It's not about being together for long, Ryu. It's about what you feel on those time, whether you're staying for a benefit, for love, for guilt—if you love her you won't look at Yeji that way. The way those words came out your mouth while you were looking at her screams that you're still into her." she stated as if she's too certain of her words.

"I-I've never been into her. What are you talking about? She's Sohee's girlfriend." I said with my clenching fists.

A deafening silence occurs. All I can hear is her, lightly flicking her finger on the can of beer she's holding.

"Tomorrow will be August. The last summer of July and the first summer of August." Sol mumbled.

Summer of August...

Where I knew, I was dreaming of her.

"Hojung-ah, Yeji's head is aching. You should head home already."

I look at my back and sees Yuna. Before I could even turn to see Sol, she passes by me before my eyes.

Her steps on the way downstairs rumbles.

"Jump off," Yuna said which made my forehead wrinkles, "Nevermind. You won't die from this high anyway. You'll just break your bones." she stated before getting downstairs again.

I rolled my eyes and traced the way back inside the bar. I think a circle of friends won't lose a brat like her.
