The Escape: Part 3
The car door is yanked open and I'm being dragged out by these bodybuilders on steroids. Two of them try to hold me while I kick, scream and scratch at them. The other three surrounds Seth, holding his hands behind his back as he calmly walks with them.
I didn't come this far to fucking give up, but it felt like it was no use. Dimitri watches on in amusement as his guards brings me face to face with him throwing a fit.
"Tessero, yo—"
I spit in his face before he could say anything else, making my defiance known. He chuckles and calmly takes out a handkerchief, wiping his face. I felt the slap before I even saw it. My head is whipped to the side at the force of Dimitri's hand.
He roughly grabs my face, his fingers sinking into my cheeks as he brings my face closer to his. "Do not fucking test my patience." He says against my lips before pushing me away. He walks around me to stand in front of Seth. His whole posture screamed dangerous, and the fear in my heart for Seth grew.
"The boyfriend," he stated plainly looking him over. "Didn't your father tell you about me? How ruthless I can be when tested?"
Seth simply stares at him, his jaw clenched tight in anger. They both come up at the same height and build, the only difference being that Dimitri's chest was had more width. Domani stares at me blankly. Gone was that cocky, almost playful attitude he tormented me with the last time I saw him. It was scary just how nonchalant he was being.
"He's gone mute I see." Dimitri shrugged making his way back over to me. His dark eyes searing into my soul. "I warned you, gave you the luxury of having time, and you thought you could run away?" He slaps me across the face again on the same cheek he hit earlier and I cry out from the pain.
"Don't fucking touch her!"
"Now he speaks," he drawls, leaning against one of the cars. He looks at two of the guards and snaps his fingers. They both move to two different cars and pops the trunk.
My breath seem to escape me for the second time today, when Everett and Brenna's bloody and bruised bodies come into view.
"Oh, my, god...."
I cry for my friends and what they had endured because of me. Everett's left eye is swollen shut and his bloody nose and jaw looks broken. Brenna's cheeks are so swollen they look like she stuffed food in them, along with her arm that looks like it's twisted at an awkward angle.
My friends....I did this to them...
"See what you caused, Tessero? You did this to them. I wouldn't have to go through such lengths if I knew I could trust you."
"Fuck you!"
Dimitri shrugged looking like he would rather be anywhere but here. "I'm tired of your childish spats. I'm a business man, I've told you this before. My time is limited and valuable. You think this is all a game, don't you?" He walks over to me, getting all in my face. "You think my money is something to be played with? I've had an empire built from nothing just so your mother could steal and you both can reap benefits?!" He shouts in my face.
My anger overshadowed my fear at that point. How fucking dare he put me in the same category as my mother? The same woman who've made my life absolutely hell.
"How many fucking times am I going to tell you I didn't fucking know?! My mother's business is her business. She fucking sold her daughter to a fucking drug ring! That should fucking tell you something!" I shout back at him.
