Special: Halloween short

(Non canon, story takes place before the calamity) sorry its a little late for Halloween, just got so far through it that it would have been a shame to scrap completely.. :p

Your PoV

Me and Link are out camping like usual, when something odd happens. The moon turns a deep red shade. The clouds speed up as burning red and black particles float around in the wind.

Link: "Ganon's power is rising.. we should move somewhere more sheltered"

After the red light over the moon faded away the moon had an eerie green aura surrounding it

"Don't know why or how, but I just got a bad feeling about this one time in particular"

The next morning

Zelda: "where are they.. what's taking so long"

"Maybe they took a detour?"

Knight-1: "Princess! Captain!.. there's an emergency"

Knight-2: "at the cemetery.. someone was attacked"

Zelda: "are they alright?"
She panics

Knight-1: "that's the emergency.. they died.. but are now attacking everyone in sight.. the whole south side of castle town has been..."

Knight-2: "infected.."

"I-infected? By what?"

Knight-1: "a.. sort of living substance.. of pure evil"

Knight-2: "like living.. malace.."

Link takes the master sword and a hylian shield while I take my spear and follow him

"Let us take a look, guard the princess"

Me and Link over look the town from the drawbridge... everyone is covered in a red and black living, gooy substance.. they all seem lifeless

Link: "oh.. my... hylia.."

"Maybe this is what's up with the champions.. maybe the whole kingdom has been over taken by this.. malace.. zombies?"

Link: ".. what can we do.. have we failed already.."
He falls to his knees dropping the sword and shield

"... sis.. please be safe"

Zelda: "Link! (Y/n)! We have to go!"

"Go where?"
I turn round downcast to see Zelda and the two knights running towards us being followed by soldiers covered in the substance

Link: "take her! I'll buy you some time.."

"No! I have a plan"

I lead the four to docks

"We sail away to the shore then we find somewhere to escape all this"

Once we arrive and all board one of the small boats a malace infected Zora climbs out the water infront of the Link and Knight-2

The knight takes his shield out but not quick enough as the Zora pierces his chest with their trident. He screams in agony before the Zora starts.. biting him?

Link: "M-Mipha.."

"Wait.. what?!

Zelda: "Link hurry!"

The knight shouts for Link to run so he does so

"It's ok.. you'll just wake up.. and it's all just a dream

We sail away in the south east direction along the river to reach a fishing village to escape in a better boat than this one.

Zelda: "What about Revali? Urbosa and Daruk?"
