Your PoV

Me and Link are walking back towards Kakariko Village before going to Zora's Domain when the sun started to go down. We still had lots of light out so we found a nice place off the side of the road to set up a small area to camp out for the night

Using the light from the setting sun Link looks through his bag in silence. No words spoken, not making a sound other than the sound of objects rubbing together or the clink of swords tapping each other until he found what he is searching for

Link: "here let's do some training"

"Huh? Right now?"

Link: "we are going to fight a Devine beast... I'm not exactly sure how but we would probably need to be in good shape so let's train a little bit before we settle down for the night"

He hands me a wooden spear as he lifts a soup ladle and a pot lid

"Isn't my spear a little sharp for training?"

Link: "it's more like just a staff to be honest.. but hey just practice the stance, swinging and the general feel for it and we can see from there"

Link bends his knees and positions his legs so he can dodge or lunge at me with ease. His left arm holds his pot lid as a shield in front of his chest with his ladle raised in his right hand.

While I just stood there gripping my 'spear' with bent knees

Link: "angle your body so your dominant hand is like this-"
He stops what he is doing to get behind me to reposition me
I am now angled so that I am not facing directly at him but to the side about 45 °.

Link: "-hold the spear like this"
He holds my hands and moves them so I point the spear towards where he had been standing previously, aimed slightly up with my hands comfortably holding the wooden shaft of the weapon

Link: "when thrusting forwards, step and twist using that momentum to add more damage"

"Like this?"
I step with my left leg plunging the spear forwards letting my left hand slip from the spear for a brief second as I twist slightly before pulling it back

Link: "exactly! You did it (y/n)!"

"I guess I did.."

After the buzz of having used the spear correctly wore off it just occurred to me how close he is to me and I think he realised too

Link: "oh.. sorry"
He steps back a little with a slight pink tint to his cheeks.. can't say I am not blushing myself. Also can't truthfully say I didn't enjoy his help.. when he spoke it was almost like his voice lingers as if it echoed in my mind filling my ears with his soft voice on loop.

He is probably embarrassed he help my hands again and got excited to teach me.

Link's pov

Dumb Link.. he clearly doesn't like being that close.. I mean look at when you held his had on the great plateau.. he snapped at me because I made him uncomfortable and not I'm just getting up right behind him and holding his hands again. Hope I didn't upset him.

(Y/n): "how about footing?"

"Huh?"

(Y/n): "do I need to have my feet pointed out or forward?"

"Oh you point the right one out and the left one forward.. assuming you will step with the left. Just don't have your legs too wide other wise you won't get a good step."
(Y/n) seems to understand since he nodded but since he is looking at the spear as if he is worried I add one last thing
