Kageyama got into an argument with hinata and was benched during a practice match with Nekoma.
"Jeez..he started a fight during a practice match. That's pretty rude."
"He probably wanted the ball to himself. How selfish."
People were mumbling while staring at kageyama. He sat on the bench avoiding eye contact with anyone. The same word repeated in his head, over, and over, and over again.
"Selfish"
"Selfish"
"Selfish
"Selfish"
He couldn't take it anymore. He scratched his arms in frustration leaving small marks behind. Was it all his fault? Maybe it was. Or maybe...the person to blame would be hinata? No...he's the "perfect angel" nothing is his fault.
Kageyama's eyes were full of tears but he held them back. He didn't like crying infront of people because he believed it was a sign of weakness.
"ALRIGHT! CONTINUE THE MATCH." daichi says.
Everyone nods and the match continues like normal. The setter is now sugawara instead of kageyama.
"I want to go home..." kageyama mumbles to himself.
The team called a short timeout so they could have a break and drink water. Hinata wasn't his usual happy jumpy self so, everyone on the team assumed it was kageyama's argument that made him this way. Kageyama then overhears Tanaka and noya.
"What a d*ck.."
"Mhm, poor hinata he's usually so happy and cute! Ughhh now we can't bother him."
"Kageyama can't admit he's a selfish B*tch when it comes to volleyball. It kind of annoying."
After hearing that kageyama felt even worse. The tears he was holding in were about to flow out. He quickly stood up and rushed into the locker room shutting the door behind him. He opened his locker and grabbed his bag.
He notices a small window in the locker room and decided to exit from there. It was a tiny rectangular window, but somehow...kageyama was able to slip through it with ease. He had to climb on top of one of the chairs in the locker room to reach the window though. So once he was out the window he fell face first into a small bush with pointy sticks.
"Ow...ack,,"
He put his hand up to his cheek and then looked at it. His face was bleeding. He quickly got up and dusted his clothes off.
"I'm bleeding...that's okay I'll patch it up when I get home...if I have any more bandages."
His face was hurt. Luckily he didn't get any sticks or dirt in his eyes.
He walked for a while and found an alleyway near a shop. He decided to stop there for a moment. He walked into the alleyway and sat down.
"Maybe I have something to wipe this blood off in my bag.."
He dug in his bag and pulled out a hoodie. That wasn't what he was looking for. He still used it to wipe his face though.
"Ah..it stings.."
"Maybe I'll just stay here tonight. It's not like anyone will go to my house to see if I'm there."
Suddenly kageyama bursts into tears crying, silently.
"Why..me..?"
