"..Soo" this was so awkward. There was nothing particularly wrong. Your clothes were nice, you smelled good, everything about you was perfect. To top it all off, before you went to the café today (which you were now not so sure about) Signora had given you one of her FAKE designer purses. It was still extremely pretty and you knew that if you brought it with you today, it would convince Zhongli that you really were rich. It didn't really match your outfit but as long as he got the point that you did indeed have money, that's all that mattered.

Signora had given you the day off today. She knew how much you wanted to win this bet and she also really wanted you to win. She thought it was funny that you were tricking a random man and lying to him with every chance you got!

As for your three best friends, you decided to tell them that you were already dating Zhongli. You had a sleepless night. You were feeling guilty that you technically cheated. So, in the early morning around 1:00am you decided to clear that up, by lying of course.

Y/N: I decided to tell him right after you and Jean left. I was feeling pretty confident and I saw him alone

"You look lovely today." Zhongli said breaking the silence. He was standing right in front of the maid café but he didn't have his work attire on. "My boss allowed me to see you today. After I had told her about our relationship, she seemed extremely happy and had given me a day off-"

"WAIT, you didn't tell her about me paying you.. right?" No one could know that you were going to "pay" Zhongli to date you, if any one of your friends heard, you would be in a lot of trouble. Donna would be furious.

"No I didn't. Is there a problem with me telling anyone about that?" He asked, curiously looking at you. You had to make up another lie. I mean, one more couldn't hurt. Or at least this one.

"Well actually.." you urged him to come closer as your voice dropped to a whisper "No one really knows that I'm.. rich! I don't really go around telling people because it would be such a hassle for everyone to ask me for money.. because they have before! Um... so please keep it a secret and just pretend that I am a regular commoner!"

He nodded his head, his eyes quickly dropped to the purse you were holding. "Won't that give away your secret though.." he asked crossing his arms as he withdrew from you.

"Well, everyone gets something expensive once in a while right? I brought this with me today because my best friend had given it to me on my birthday.. it's so sad to realize that we are no longer friends anymore. She moved far away.." you looked away as you tried to form tears in your eyes. "I guess long distance relationships don't last.." Zhongli's eyes widened.

"I.. had no idea. I'm Incredibly sorry, please do not cry, I won't ever ask anything of that sort ever again. How rude of me!" You smirked as you had your hands covering your face.

"That's alright." The two of you just awkwardly stood there now. In front of the café with many other small shops and stores surrounding you both. It was a chilly October day so you saw some Halloween decorations already being put up on different stores. Multiple cars passed by, pedestrians were everywhere. You felt a bit comforted by it all. Except for Zhongli who was now just staring at you. He didn't blink or move a muscle. He stared right into your soul.
