The distant rumbling from cars  driving past the one you were in was the only noise that could be heard from between you and Zhongli. The window was rolled down, letting fresh air hit your face in a not so gentle way since the car was speeding up as you drove through the dark highway.

     "Y/n?" Zhongli spoke up breaking your concentration from your screen. You looked up from your phone and waited for what he was waiting to say as he anxiously shuffled in his seat.

      "What is it?" You asked staring at his side profile as he concentrated his eyes on the road.

      ".. Well, no. Nevermind, it's silly."

     "No! Tell me, what's up?" Zhongli tapped his fingers on the steering wheel as he slowed down, stopping at the red light.

     "I.. really did miss you today." He said as he tried to not glance at you. You could sense he was nervous.

     "I missed you today as well! Having you around always brings me peace." You smiled at him as he grinned to himself.

     "Really.. but" he snapped out of his daze as he went on to ask you "what were you and Xiao doing today.. other than visiting that ice cream shop, did anything happen..?" You looked at him before laughing.

     "No! Of course not Zhongli! I'm dating you not him!" That's exactly what he needed to hear as well because his shoulders dropped as he sighed in relief.

     "Oh.. alright, good" he said before he spoke again. "Because I really l-"

*HOOOONNNKKKK*

     "Oh!" He said as he noticed the light was green and drove. "My apologies.." he whispered but you couldn't stop thinking about what he was about to say. "Because I really" WHAT? He loves me?! Please please pleasseeee let him say he loves me!!

     "Because you really what?" You said in anticipation.

      "Oh, because I really like you and appreciate you.." the words didn't shock you like you were expecting but you shrugged. Whatever, I have time. You smiled.

     "Yeah I like you too!"

It took a while but you eventually got to his house which was actually very nice and pleasant. It was a house that wasn't that big but it was very chic, there was a beautiful stone path with the most gorgeous weeping tree that stood tall, above the house. There was bright lights leading to the residence and you could see the small backyard from the side view. Is that a POND?

      "Oh wow, this is beautiful!" You said as you stepped out of the car, firmly closing the door shut. Better than my place too..

"Please, don't flatter me" Zhongli chuckled as he walked you to his beautiful front door.
