"Finally." Demi said as she sprawled onto her bed. We had just finished unpacking all of our luggage. We had gotten home from Texas early this morning. The goodbye to Demi's family was a little emotional, and I had grown close to Maddie, but we had exchanged numbers. I texted her the whole plane ride home. She still didn't know about my issues, just Dianna did. I was sorta relieved to be home, because I was afraid that Dianna would make me tell Maddie. I didn't want her to know, at least not yet. On the other hand, I missed Demi's family. I never really had one, and it was nice to have one now. As soon as we got on the plane, I have been worrying about school. School started in two days. Just two. I don't want to go, even though the school was beautiful. Demi was making me though, she insisted that I needed a "proper education". It was seriously stressing me out though. School was gonna be hell, like it always is.
"Can I please not go to school?" I said for the millionth time.
"No baby you have to."
"I can get homeschooled."
"No, you need a proper education."
"Home schooling is a proper education."
"No it's not. You need to go out and make friends. School will be fun."
I walked right up to Demi.
"No it won't. It's just gonna make everything worse." I retaliated. Demi was failing to see how terrible school would be for me. She was being too optimistic, thinking that everything would be alright. Well wake up Demi, because it won't be alright.
"Baby it's gonna be okay. Give it a few days. You'll love it." Demi said as she yawned. "Don't stress. Come lay down with me." She patted the space on the bed next to her.
I laid down, and my phone buzzed. Was it Chelsea again? I fished my phone out of my pocket and a wave of relief flushed over me when I saw it was just Lauren.
Hey! You wanna hang out with me, Ally and Camila?
"Demi can I hang with Lauren, Camila and Ally?"
"You don't wanna snuggle with me?" Demi asked with a pout.
"Can I snuggle with you later? I might never get to hang out with them again!"
"Yes I'm just joking, of course you can go! They really like you by the way."
"Thanks you are the best!" I said as I gave her a hug.
Ya I can
I texted back.
Alright we'll pick you up in five!
"Demi they'll be here in five minutes!" I yelled as I ran into my room. I had to look somewhat presentable. I changed out of my sweatpants and put on black skinny jeans and a black tank top with a black and red flannel over it. I averted my eyes from the mirror as bad thoughts filled my mind.
You're so fat. Why are you even going? They are probably using you for publicity anyway. They hate you.
I speed-walked out of my room before I followed through with my urges to cut. I couldn't right now, they would be here soon. I threw on my converse, and ran down the stairs with my phone. Demi was on the couch, watching CSI of course.
"Alex."
"Yeah?" I said as I walked over to her.
"Promise me to eat?" Demi asked as she took my hand.
"Okay." I nodded. Of course this was a lie. I mean, I would have to eat a little so they didn't get suspicious, but I wouldn't eat a lot. I still need to loose weight.
