I sat in the back of Demi's car, inbetween Marissa and Demi. Max was in the drivers seat. We were going to an amusement park, and I was so excited. I had never been to one, because my parents hated me, and we could never get out of the orphanage
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a familiar song blasting on the radio.
I recognized it was I Really Don't Care, and burst into song with Demi and Marissa. I had just met Marissa, so I was still nervous around her. We continued singing, and right as the song ended, we pulled into the parking lot.
"YAASSS this is perfect! No one is here!" Demi squealed with excitement. I looked out the window, and saw that that there was only cars in the staff parking lot. This would be perfect! No lines, and no people that would judge me and talk about how fat and ugly I am.
We all hopped put of the car, including Max, and ran toward the enterance. We got our tickets, gave them to the man gaurding the fancy gate to the park, and ran in.
"Where should we go?" Asked Marissa.
"Over there!" Exclaimed Demi as she pointed at a huge rollercoaster. It was very steep, and had tons of twists and loop-da-loops. We ran over to the roller coaster and stopped at the base of it. I looked up to read it's name, and it was called the "Screamer". That name was not comforting.
"You going on Alex?" Asked Demi.
"Sure I guess." I said. There was no line, so we ran right up the stairs and ramps to get on the ride. With each step, my stomach twisted more and more. For my first rollercoaster, this would be scary. There was two people per row, so Demi and I sat with eachother and Max and Marissa behind us. The workers pushed down a lap bar and a strap that went over our shoulders. The ride started with a jolt, and my stomach twisted again. I hope I don't throw up. We started climbing up a very steep hill, and I was inclined all the way back. I felt Demi grab my hand as we neared the top. We slowly tilted forward over the peak, then we shot down. My stomach dropped and I flung forward, but the safety restraints prevented me from falling out. We flew away from the hill and flew into a loop-da-loop. The ride slowed down and I felt myself suspened in the air. My head flew back as we returned to full speed, and went through corkscrews, more loop-da-loops and tight turns. We returned to the start and got unstrapped.
"That was awesome!" Screamed Marissa as she spun around in circles.
"Did you like it?" Asked Demi with a grin.
"Yes that was the best!" I said as we walked toward more rides. I still felt like I was strapped into the ride, and I was so excited to ride more.
-----------
Demi Marissa and I sat down at a table in the shade. Max sat down at another table, he was on the phone with someone. We had sat down for lunch, and Demi was digging into her pizza and Marissa into her chicken fingers. I stared at the salad Demi ordered for me. I looked up at Demi and she gave me a pleading look. I picked up my forked and stabbed a piece of lettuce. I reluctantly put it in my mouth, chewed and swallowed. I could feel my demons coming.
Hey fatty. Don't you dare eat one more bite. You are a fat, ugly worthless freak.
I looked up at Demi again. She was texted something on her phone, then continued eating.I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, and I looked at it from under the table. It was a text from Demi.
You can do it baby! I love you! xoxo
I picked up my fork again and took a bite of lettuce and a mini tomato.
Stop. Now. Don't you dare eat any more. Marissa and Demi both hate you and think that your'e a fat, ugly freak. Stop eating now.
I hated this. I just want to be normal and eat without feeling horrible. I ate another bite of lettuce. My demons screamed at my and I pinched my leg under the table. I needed to punish myself for eating. I looked up and saw that Marissa and Demi were done eating.
"You guys ready for more rides? Asksed Marissa as we all threw our plates away.
"Sure" Demi and I said in unison.
Marissa walked over to a security guard, and started talking to him. She came back over to us with a smile on her face.
"The biggest and scariest rollercoaster is that way! Let's go on it!" Marissa said as she pointed down a path.
"Yes! Let's go!" Said Demi as we ran down the path and to the supposedly "scary rollercoaster".
----------
I screamed and covered my eyes. I sat infront of the tv, with Marissa and Demi, watching "You're Next." Seriously, this movie was terrifying. I opened my eyes again and immeadietly shut them. I heard Demi and Marissa scream and felt Demi grab my hand.
After more screams and eye-shutting, they movie finally ended.
DEMIS POV
I turned on the lights, and saw that Alex was hugging a pillow, and Marissa was buried underneath five blankets.
'I think i'm traumatized." Marissa said as she untangled herself from her blankets. Alex got up and stumbled away from the couch, almost falling over.
"Someones tired." I said as I wrapped my arms around Alex. I led Alex up the stairs, with Marissa trailing behind us.
Alex went into her room, and Marissa and I went into mine. I had set up a blow up mattress for Marissa earlier.
"You can set up camp and I'm gonna go get Alex tucked in!" I said as I hopped over Marissa's bags. I knocked on Alex's door.
"Who is it?" I heard Alex's quiet voice.
"It's Demi." I said.
"Slip your I.D under the door please!" Said Alex.
I smiled and opened the door. Alex was laying under the covers, grinning at me. I sat on the edge of her bed.
I reached put to push a strand of hair out of her face, and she flinched back, with a look of terror in her eyes.
"What's wrong?" I asked as I drew my hand back.
Alex looked down.
"Nothing!" She said quickly.
"Alex..." I said as I gave her a pleading look.
"I thought you gonna hit me." Alex said quietly.
My heart sank. I would never hit Alex. I loved her so, so much.
"Baby I would never hit you! I love you so much. I would never dream of hurting you." I said as I took her hand.
She took a deep breath and nodded. I leaned down and kissed her forehead.
"Goodnight sweetheart." I said as I turned off the light and shut the door.
I walked into my room, to see Marissa unrolling her sleeping bag. We were both already in our pajamas.
"Hey Dem, did Alex seem okay to you today?" Asked Marissa with a worried expression.
I don't know if I should tell Marissa about Alex's problems yet. I want to wait until they get to know eachother a little better.
"Ya, she was fine.. why?"
"Well I don't know..she just seemed.. like you were before you know.. got help."
"Ris, she's ok, don't worry.
"okay."
I glanced at the clock, and it was 12:49.
"We should get to bed, It's late!" I said as I jumped under my covers.
"Goodnight Ris."
"Goodnight Dem."
