ALEXS POV

I watched the blood trickle down my arm, and fall into the sink. I had just made ten new cuts. I didn't mean too, but it just happened. My demons were too loud. I cleaned up the sink, and left the bathroom. Demi had taken away my blades, but I had hid one inside one of my drawers, just in case. I felt bad that I cut behind Demi's back, but it was my only release. I didn't want to go to Demi with my problems, I already bothered her. I pulled up my dark skinny jeans. They were getting loose, which was a good sign. I walked down the stairs, and heard Demi and Marissa talking, there voices muffled. I walked into the kitchen and saw Demi and Marissa having pancakes. My stomach dropped. I could not eat pancakes. Actually I couldn't eat anything at all. I was way to fat. 

"good morning sleepy head!" Said Demi as she gave me a warm smile.

Marissa smiled at me, and I gave a small smile back. I was still nervous around her.

I sat down on the stool next to Demi. 

"Here, I made you breakfast! Said Demi as she set down a plate infront of me. My stomach sank as I looked at the plate. It had a medium sized pancake on it. It was smaller than a normal pancake, but I was still terrified. I glanced up at Demi. She gave me a small smile, and moved the plate closer too me. I reluctantly picked up my fork, and cut off two pieces. I put them in my mouth, chewed and swallowed. I could literlally feel the fat piling on to me. My jeans already felt tighter. I shoved another bite in my mouth, and set my fork down. I had finished almost half. No way in the world would I eat more than half.

You're to fat to eat. Just stop eating, and kill yourself while you're at it too. Everyone hates you. Even Demi. 

I struggled with my demons  in my head, and dug my fingernails into my palm under the table, so no one could see. I felt Demi take hold of my hand, and unclench it. She gave it a squeeze, and rubbed circles into it.  She probably wanted me to eat. I picked up my fork, cut off two more pieces, and shoved them in my mouth and swallowed. I had about 1/4 left. I was definetly not eating the whole thing. 

"Shoot! Dems I have to go, I have to go to a stupid dentist appointment!" Said Marissa as she leaped up from her stool.

"alright, have fun!" Said Demi with a laugh as she hugged Marissa. 

"Bye Alex!" Said Marissa as she waved.

"Bye" I said quietly as Marissa walked toward the door.

Demi stared at my pancake. 

"Just one more bite baby, please." Said Demi as she cut off a piece.

She handed me the fork, I shoved the piece in my mouth, chewed and swallowed. 

"Your so fat! Why the hell did you just eat another bite! You ate more than half!"

"Go purge right now!"

My demons screamed at me.

I got up, and started walking toward the hallway that would lead to the bathroom. I couldn't run, then Demi would know what I was about to do. 

I felt a pair of hands grab my waist and pull me away from the hallway. Demi spun me around and looked me in the eye.

"No Alex. You're stronger than this." Demi said as she led me toward the front door.

"come on, I have something fun planned."

"Hey Alex! I'm Jill!" 

A friendly looking person extended their hand, and I shook it loosely.

"Alright let's go get you ready!" Said Jill as she led Demi over to a makeup table. I followed. Demi sat down, and motioned for me to sit down in the chair next to her. I watched as Jill applied all of Demi's makeup, and was amazed how good she was at it. 

When Demi had all of her makeup on, and the outfit for the photoshoot, she stood infront of a dark backdrop. I watched as the photographer adjusted his camera, and snapped hundreds of pictures of Demi, in different poses. 

"Hey Jill, can you do Alex's makeup? I want her to be in some pictures with me!" Said Demi as the photographer pasued to adjust the camera again.

"Sure!" Jill replied as she led me over to the makeup table. I sat down infront of her, and felt the brushes against my face as she put on eye shadow, blush, foundation and mascara. I had never really worn makeup before, because I could never get anywhere where I could buy any.

I walked over and stood with Demi. She hugged me, and we both smiled at the camera. As the bright lights flashed, we tried out tons of different poses.

"Alright that's a wrap!" Said the photographer as he shut off his camera.

Demi smiled at me and led me over to a big computer, where we looked at the pictures. Demi looked fabulous in all of hers. I, on the other hand, looked absolutely terrible. I looked so fat and repulsive. I had totally ruined the pictures. 

"Awww we look so cute together!" Said Demi as she tickled me. I laughed and stumbled backward, almost crashing into Jill. I turned my attention back to the screen, and helped Demi pick out pictures.

I plopped myself down on the couch, and turned the tv on. I flipped through the channels, and landed on Pretty Little Liars. It was 9:00 pm. After the photoshoot, Demi and I had lunch with her team at Panera. I ordered a salad. I felt extrememly guilty, and I had purged, of course secretly. Demi sat down and placed something in my lap. I looked down and realized that it was a plate. With half on an apple on it. I looked over at Demi and saw that she had the other half. 

"Just please eat one more thing for me today honey." Said Demi with puppy-dog eyes.

I stared down at the apple. I had to try. For Demi, more than for myself. I picked up the apple, and took two bites. It was really sweet and crunchy. I pushed the demons out of my head and took two more bites.

Stop! Your so fat! What the hell are you doing? You can't take one more bite, you're fat enough!

My demons won and I put down the plate on the coffee table.

"Demi I can't." I said quietly.

"It's ok baby I understand." Said Demi as she wrapped her arms around me. I leaned back against her and got comfortable. These were the moments I had to cherish. The moments where I felt safe, in Demi's arms. It won't last forever.
