Wow, I can't believe that Summer is already here! Ninth grade here I come, but before I do that I'm going on vacation with Kendal. I haven't known about the vacation for long. They just asked me if I wanted to go. Of course I said yes! Kendal said that it was going to be really boring if I didn't come, so I thought it was a brilliant idea if I tagged along. Now that Bryan is gone, we were able to relax. My mom called my dad and told him that Bryan left. He came back to spend the summer with us and since he didn't have a place he's going to be with us for a while. He drove in on last Monday and ever since then, we have been doing tons of fun things. We went shopping, got to go to a concert, and even spent a whole day going around town tasting food. It was great, but I hate to leave him to go on a trip with Kendal.
When Kendal and her parents had gotten to our house with their van packed with supplies my parents were outside. It was so nice to see them laughing together again and talking to each other. My mom was planting flowers and my dad was mowing the lawn. Mrs. Penn jumped out of the car with Kendal and greeted my mom, "It's so nice to see you!" My mom got up from her flower bed and hugged her.
My mom took off her gloves and said, "It seems like forever." They both laughed and walked into the house.
Kendal hugged me and we ran to my room to go pack. We started throwing in my swimsuits, converse, tank tops, and shorts. After we finished packing she asked,"So has it still been kind of crazy around here?"
I responded, "No, my only problem was trying to keep the key safe," I paused for a moment.
Then, I put my socks in.Kendal said,"You left out a part."
"What?"
"The part about where it is."
I pointed to my neck and said, "Haven't you noticed?"
She laughed and said,"Sorry I was so excited that I didn't notice the necklace."
We rundown stairs and say together," We're ready!" Our moms both laughed and Mrs. Penn said, "Can you girls wait in the car for a while? We have somethings to talk about."
Kendal said, "Sure mom!"
My mom said, "Not so fast young lady, you forgot to hug me goodbye."
"Sorry mom!" I walked over and gave her a hug. She whispered in my ear,"Be careful with that key, we know what happened last time!"
I said,"Love you!" Like nothing had happened and Kendal and I ran to the car.
