I ran until I got to the beach and fell face first into the sand. I didn't want to stop running but when I face planted sand got into mouth. I sat there for ten minutes spitting sand, until Kendal and a wet David found me.
Kendal gave me one of those what-have-you-done looks. David, on the other hand, didn't seem so upset.
She said, "I don't know what to do with you," and laughed, " I just want to get rid of Calen and Corona, so I can actually enjoy my vacation!"
Now I felt guilty about pushing him more than I did before. It wasn't actually my fault, well it was, but I panicked and freaked out.
I stood up and said, "David, I really didn't mean to push you in the pool. I just didn't want you to ...." My voice trailed off and Kendal asked, "Didn't want him to what?"
"I didn't want him to choose the wrong person!" Kendal still had a confused look, but I started walking anyway.
David shouted, "Maria, where are you going?"
"To finish Calen and his big sister, so my best friend can enjoy her vacation!"
They stayed back a while and then they caught up to me. We walked to our "hideout" and David gave us each sodas.
He closed the fridge and said, "So, who has any ideas on how to get rid of them?"
I looked around at Kendal then back at David and said, " I think I know who we could call."
