Ch.10 Did You Know?

I didn't know what to do then I saw the most relieving thing ever. They were sitting on the edge of the pool splashing each other. I walked over to them "trying" to stay calm.

I said,"Kendal, you left me, and you didn't tell me where you were going. I thought something had happened to you!"

"Sorry Maria, I thought that David told you,"

He looked up from the edge of the pool where they were sitting and he said,"We didn't mean to upset you, mom," he and Kendal laughed.

"Kendal this isn't funny I thought something had seriously happened to you!"

"Maria stop it! I'm a big girl now," she laughed at herself," I didn't even see Corona or Ca...."

Her voice trailed off because she noticed that David hadn't moved and he was still there. David looked at Kendal and said,"Who's Corona and Cal?"

I said,"I'm sorry we really have to go!"

I grabbed Kendal by the arm and there he was in front of us. Caleb was standing in front of us smiling a smile that you would never want to see on vacation. He said,"You thought you could escape us?"

Corona magically appeared next to him with her arms folded. She said,"I heard my name,"

David got up and said,"What was that?"

I rolled my eyes and said,"Like you don't know who this is."

He shook his head nervously. This was a terrible moment and this is when I noticed that he really didn't know. I stopped and said,"Can you guys just go. I'm getting tired of telling you guys that you will never get the keys!"

Caleb said,"I'm sure that I'll just take those." He opened his hand to reveal both of the keys. I said,"No!" He was still smiling, but not for long. I kicked him ...well..you know not a place you would want to be kicked and he dropped the keys.

Corona yelled at him,"Why are you so weak? I don't even know why I try to help you. I'll just get it myself!"

She stuck out her hand and did one of "Star Wars" things where she stopped David from running away. She picked up her hand and David was now levitating. She said,"Give me the keys or he dies!"

He shook his head and said,"Don't do it." He all of a sudden wanted to be a hero even though he had no clue what he was getting himself into.

She said,"Shut up you idiot boy!" She tightened her grip and repeated herself and said,"Give me the key!"

I said,"Why would I do that?"

Before she could answer I threw a ball of fire past her head that hit a nearby table and she dropped David. I threw another one at her that hit her hand that was still up. She screamed and kept fighting. I looked back at Kendal trying to comfort David and said,"Run!"

They both took off and I saw a gust of wind blow past me before one hit me in the chest. This could not be happening I surrounded my self in a bubble and disappeared. I didn't know I could do that! I was in the hall that our room was on and Kendal and David were in front of me.

I said,"Are you two okay?"

He caught his breath and said,"Almost being choked by a weird lady and seeing everyone appear in midair isn't okay!"

Kendal said,"I don't really know what to tell you."

I said with a smile,"Oh yes ummm .... sorry,"
