Ch. 23: Down to Ride

"Olivia! You aight?" Spencer inquired as he got off of the ground. The two of them were ducking for cover as the shots rang out. 

"Yeah, I'm fine" Olivia said as she dusted her jeans off after Spencer helped her off of the concrete. "We need to get out of here though" she noticed the chaos that erupted.

"Those shots were fired in the air" Spencer said as he started to run toward his vehicle. "I just hope everyone is good and I'm glad Mr. A left early" he said as he pressed the unlock button on his car keys. 

"Spencer, behind you!" Olivia pointed behind him as she'd noticed a ski masked man approaching entering the parking lot.

"Duck!" Spencer yelled at Olivia as he swiftly pulled his gun out of his waist band. 

Olivia ducked behind the vehicle adjacent from Spencer's to protect herself. She peeked her head around the corner and noticed Spencer shielded himself with the vehicle next to his.

Olivia covered her ears and kept her head low as an exchange of gun fire occurred. She silently prayed as she couldn't believe there was a full blown shoot out in the parking. Her heart pounded rapidly as she heard a loud shriek as the car sped off. Once it was safe to do so, Olivia shot her head up as she scanned her surroundings. She frowned when she didn't see Spencer standing.

"Spencer!" Olivia called out as she stood up from behind the car. "Spencer!" she panicked as she sped walk toward his vehicle.

"Oh my God!" Olivia panicked as she ran toward the left side of his vehicle. "Spencer!" she panicked as she'd seen him laid out on the ground.

"I'm...I'm good, Olivia" he panted in between his words. "It's just a graze" he lifted up his shirt to show her the wound just above his stomach.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere else?" she questioned as she sat him up against his car door. "Your arm is all scraped up" she frowned as she noticed the blood dripping down his arm.

"I had to break my fall, but I'm good though" he said as he slowly lifted himself off of the ground. "This shit burns, fuck!" he winced in pain as he bent over.

"Let's get you into the car, I'll drive!" Olivia said as she helped Spencer toward the passenger side of his car. He opened the door for himself and sat in the seat while Olivia ran toward the other side of the car.

"Where are we going?" Olivia inquired as she drove out of the parking lot. She frowned when he didn't respond to her question. "Spencer?" she quickly glanced over at him to make sure he was okay.

"My ears ringin' like crazy, on hood" he lightly chuckled. "But you need to drive back to your dorm" he said in a serious tone.

"I'm not going back there, Spencer. Not until I know you're okay" She gripped the steering wheel to ease her nerves. "Just tell me where to fucking take you!" she snapped at him and his eyes grew wide.

"That shit kinda turned me on" he smirked and Olivia glared at him. "Alright, alright. Take me to my house. I need to grab the rest of my shit and some aloe vera" he continued and Olivia nodded her head.

"Don't take the streets, hop on the freeway" He instructed and she followed his directions. "We need to get there quickly" he said and she furrowed her eyebrows.
