Ch. 46: Revelation

"Spencer, babe!" Olivia's eyes widened as she sat up on her bed. "This is great news! Why aren't you happy?" she inquired as she placed a hand on his knee.

"Don't get me wrong, I am happy that he's locked up. I have a feelin' he'll be gone for a long time, hopefully for the remainder of his life" Spencer said as he stared at Olivia. "I just don't understand how Kameron's dad fit into all of this. We can't celebrate until we get answers" he said.

"You have a point" Olivia agreed with him. "So, what's the next step?" she inquired.

"I have to go back to Kameron's" Spencer said as he removed himself from her bed. "Mr. Williams connects to all of this shit and I'mma find out how" he said as he placed his shoes on.

"You're going to go right now?" Olivia questioned as she watched him grab his belongings. "I want to come with you" she said as she got off of her bed.

"Nope" Spencer said as he turned to face her. "You need to stay right here" he pointed at her bed.

"But do you have to go right now? You saw Kameron a few hours ago" Olivia crossed her arms. "You just got here and I haven't seen you in a while" she pouted.

"I'm comin' right back, Liv" Spencer assured. "And when I do get back, I'm all yours for the night" he leaned in and pecked her forehead.

"I'll see you in a few then" Olivia gave him a small smile. "We can even watch a movie when you get back" she wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

"Or...we could make one instead" he smirked.

"Bye, Spencer" Olivia playfully rolled her eyes and lightly pushed him away from her.

"You think I'm playin' when I'm not" Spencer said as he pulled her into him. "I love you girl" he said as he stared at her.

"I love you too" Olivia smiled as he placed a kiss on her lips.

"Spencer?" Kameron raised an eyebrow as he answered the front door. "What are you doin' back here?" he inquired as he let him in.

"One second" Spencer said as he sent a quick text to his security team. "My fault, but you said somethin' today that stuck with me" he said as he sat down on the couch.

"I did?" Kameron questioned as he sat across from him.

"You said grief changes the course of your life forever" Spencer reminded him and Kameron nodded. "How do you deal with it?" he inquired.

"How do I deal with grief?" Kameron questioned and Spencer nodded. "I don't know really. I just manage to get through the day by honoring his life in the best way possible. He wasn't the best man, he was involved in gang shit. But he was a great uncle to me. I know he wouldn't want me to follow in the wrong steps, so I try to honor the principles he taught me" he shrugged his shoulders.

"I dealt with my moms death in the worse way possible" Spencer said and Kameron lightly chuckled. "On some real shit, Kam. I was a kid that had no sense. I was angry, I had nobody. You're blessed with an amazing support system and I am proud that you want to continue to honor your uncle's life the best way you can" he continued.
