Brief mentions of drug and alcohol use

On Chan's drive, he had time to think about his situation. He was just a typical priest not two weeks ago, working throughout the week, attending Saturday and Sunday masses, and helping people looking for answers. It was all very average, and he enjoyed it. Then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, his whole life was thrown off track when he started hearing a voice in his head that wouldn't stop, and it turned out to be a fucking angel "sent by God" to watch over him. And now the bastard is living with him. He was put on Xanax and had to attend bi-weekly therapy sessions. Nothing in his life was the same anymore. Not even his church services.

No. Minho had to ruin those, also. He started to attend all three weekend services, begging Chan to take him with him, and he learned very quickly that if he didn't physically take him, Minho would show up in spirit. That is, he would start yapping away in Chan's mind while he was trying to speak. He caught himself almost responding a few times during his sermons. At least when Minho was there physically, he stayed quiet.

Throughout this Sunday service, about two weeks into him taking human form, he thought it would be funny to try to make Chan laugh while on the altar. Minho sat in the back of the church in the last pew, watching the service take place, watching Chan do his job almost perfectly. Just because he was a holy angel didn't mean he couldn't have fun.

That being said, all throughout the service, Minho would pull weird faces or make strange gestures when Chan was looking in his direction. He could see Chan almost crack a smile or laugh a few times, which made him feel proud. Despite the priest basically hating his guts, he was able to make him laugh while at work.

Also, during this service, Minho noticed very quickly how close Jisung really was to Chan. He didn't know their history, but whatever it was, Jisung was almost clinging to Chan like his life depended on it, and at one point in time, his life really was in Chan's hands. Since that point, Jisung has been ever grateful and stayed close by the priest. Since the day Jisung almost accidentally killed himself from drinking alcohol and taking sleeping pills not even an hour later, he hasn't left Chan's side. He was scared that if he did, something would go wrong. Chan was the only person who knew about that incident besides, of course, the doctors at the hospital, but if Chan hadn't rushed him there, he was sure he'd be dead. That was also the day he swore his sobriety. Also, after that incident, some tiny feelings for Chan may have formed, but he wasn't going to disclose anything about that.

Minho, of course, didn't know any of this and just knew that Jisung was basically in love with Chan. There was something about this knowledge that just irked Minho to no end. He couldn't understand why he felt upset seeing the two together, but it really bothered him. Even if they weren't doing anything friendly, literally just working like they did every weekend, he still didn't like seeing Jisung fawning over Chan. Every now and then, he would notice Jisung taking small glances at Chan, some of which Chan returned with a smile.

The only issue he had with this feeling was that he wasn't supposed to be feeling it. The envy and jealousy that he had toward Jisung weren't supposed to occur as an angel. All celestials were incapable of human sin, yet here Minho was, committing one of the seven deadly sins.

Minho was the first to leave the building at the end of the service since he was in the back. He stood at the front of the line, shaking hands with all the other priests and then Chan, to whom he gave a small, thin smile. Chan was confused about the smile because the look in his eye was completely different than all the other looks Minho had given him when he left. He didn't have time to ponder about it when the next person in line stood in front of him.

Minho waited outside the church for Chan, talking to some people that gathered together. "So, Minho," a man began, glancing at the name tag on Minho's shirt. "I noticed you coming here more often. How are you liking the services?"
