The next Sunday came by faster than the two could comprehend. It seemed like the days just blurred together until it was finally the Sunday morning service. Minho was put on the bulletin and was allowed to read a passage for this service and he couldn't have been more excited.
"... A letter from Paul to the Corinthians. Thanks be to God," he finished, bowing his head slightly before walking off the alter back to his seat in the front row, watching the rest of the service. He still noticed how Jisung would occasionally look at Chan throughout the service, his jealousy threatening to take over, but he was able to contain it.
At least, until the service was over.
Once everyone was filed out of the church, Minho was next to Chan, being the last person to leave. He followed Chan to the robing room and helped him undo the alb and set it up on the stand. Jisung was going to help Chan with it until he noticed Minho with him. Jisung finished putting his alb back on the hanger and in the closet, nodding to both Chan and Minho before leaving.
Once the room was clear of any listening ears, Minho let out a deep sigh. "That was dreadful, oh my goodness!"
"What was?" Chan asked, not sure of the context of Minho's complaint.
Minho watched Chan look over some papers on his desk, flipping through them without even reading them. "Jisung. He's always eyeing you and everything. I know that I'm not supposed to get jealous, but I can't help it! I can see how bad he wants you!"
Chan swallowed hard, knowing that he couldn't get upset with Minho again over this. He set the papers down and turned to face the angel. "Just ignore him. As I said, I don't feel anything toward him besides platonic love."
Minho rolled his eyes but nodded his head in agreement. "I know. I'm trying not to let it affect me but sometimes it's difficult."
"I understand," Chan simply stated, sharing a sincere look with Minho before walking out of the room with the angel following behind him. He entered the dining area where everyone was getting something to eat and chatting with the other members of the church.
He filled a plate up with a small amount of food, looking around the room for somewhere to sit. He decided that he wanted to tease Minho a little bit and saw Jisung sitting at a table with a few other people. He smiled at his plan, making a beeline for the table with Jisung, sitting down in between him and the woman he was talking to. The only other available seat was across from Chan, so Minho had no choice but to take it if he were to sit at this table.
He furrowed his face in disappointment, but sat down anyway, frowning at Chan who tried to hide his chuckle. Chan initiated a conversation between everyone at the table after everyone praised him on how well he did once again as they did every week. "So, how has everyone been this week?"
It was a simple conversation starter, but if he knew Jisung, he was going to be the first to speak up, wanting all of Chan's attention. "Well, I was doing pretty good. I actually visited a friend earlier. Hyunjin."
Chan's throat went dry at the mention of the name, but nodded nonetheless, not trying to make a scene in front of everybody. "Why'd you go see him?"
"Well, he called me over 'cause he said he wanted me to look at something, so I did," Jisung explained, knowing that Chan wasn't Hyunjin's biggest fan. He wasn't going to go into details of everything that happened during the visit, but he'd let them know that he went.
Minho listened carefully. He wanted to get back at Chan for sitting at this table, but he didn't want to cross a line and go too far. "Oh, I haven't met him yet, I don't think." Chan eyed Minho from across the table when he spoke up. Minho only responded with a smirk. "Could I?"
