Minho didn't lean down and kiss him goodbye. He didn't run his hand across his cheek. He didn't do anything. He just stood up and walked out of the house like nothing had happened, trying to suppress his emotions. He was an angel. He wasn't supposed to be feeling like this. He was supposed to be strong. Not crying over some random human who turned out to be a seraph.
Seraph.
Chan was a seraph.
Chan was a celestial. That meant that he was going to be in heaven. That meant that when Minho went back, there was a chance of seeing him again.
But would he remember him? Celestials don't have emotions and feelings in heaven, not unless they were granted them as a gift of honor like Felix's were. Would he remember or recognize Minho in heaven? Would Minho even remember him or remember the love he had for him?
He didn't want to get his hopes up in case Chan didn't remember him or he didn't remember Chan. He couldn't deal with being heartbroken again. As he walked to a secluded area that he knew would be safe to transport himself, he tried his best to push down his hopes, the fear of disappointment being too strong.
He walked to the park where he and Felix had met previously, noting that there wasn't anyone there at this late hour. It was thankfully very quiet, but the lights were still on. He couldn't see anyone around him but still decided to hide behind one of the shelters.
With a flash of light, he was back in heaven. He noticed that he was in the courtyard of the dominion quarters, which made sense. He had to meet with Felix to officially complete his mission. He walked up the path toward the large building. He pushed the doors open, being greeted with the statues once again, still hating Michael's.
He was also met with a filled room. It was crowded with not only dominions but other celestials as well. He couldn't understand what the reason was, but he shook it off, deciding to ask Felix about it when he saw him. He started walking toward the large meeting table where plenty of dominions were working together, most in their celestial form. Felix was sure to be there somewhere unless he was in a meeting with a higher-ranking celestial.
He pushed through the sea of celestials, trying to find his assigned dominion. He spotted the two-headed creature not too far away and immediately rushed over to him. He had a strange sense of excitement flooding his body, and he wasn't sure why.
Once he finally made it over to Felix, he was stopped in his tracks once he saw someone else much too familiar. One of the dominion's heads smiled as it made eye contact with Minho. The other head was busy talking with the other... celestial.
"Ambriel. Come here," Felix demanded, waving him forward. Minho was absolutely stunned but slowly and hesitantly made his way toward the pair. "I'm sure you know who this is, don't you?" He gestured to the being next to him with a large smile, knowing that Minho would be happy to see him.
Minho looked over at the being, and without a second thought, threw himself on Chan, immediately latching onto him. Tears began falling, and he wasn't in control of himself any longer. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me."
Chan chuckled as he returned the hug, rubbing a hand up and down Minho's back to comfort him. Even now, as Minho was clutching onto his shirt and sobbing his eyes out, Chan still found him adorable. He placed a small kiss on top of the angel's head. "It's okay. You brought me here. You brought me home."
Minho pulled away and looked up at Chan. "Y-You remember me?"
Chan beamed down at him, nothing but pure love and admiration on his face. "Of course I do, Min."
"Here, you call him Ambriel," Felix corrected quickly. There was a strange rule in heaven: you could only call celestials by their celestial name, even if they were human before, such as in Chan's case. Felix then turned back to Minho. "You should know that his celestial name is Malchediel. And because of the mix-up Malchediel had, Father granted him his human memory and emotions as a way to ask for forgiveness for the mistake. And I'm sure you have a couple of questions for me," Felix interjected, explaining how it was possible that Chan remembered Minho.
Minho nodded. Though he didn't want to ask to seem like a beggar, he still wanted to know. "Am I going to keep my memories?"
Felix breathed out a laugh. "Yes. You are." He looked around and called out into the crowd to gain everyone's attention. Minho was confused but just watched as he orchestrated the sea of celestials in the room. "Because of the spectacular job you did on your very first mission, which wasn't an easy one, Father has granted you with the gift of emotions and memory. Be proud of yourself, Ambriel."
Felix held out his hand, and in it, a ball of pale yellow light appeared. He hovered it over Minho's head, letting it fall and wash over his body. He realized only then that this was a ceremony. It made sense why the room was much more crowded with not just dominions but celestials of all kinds. Archangels, seraphim, dominions, angels, cherubs. They were all there gathered in celebration of Minho accomplishing his mission. They all applauded once the light subsided and was absorbed by Minho.
He didn't feel any different than before, but that didn't matter because now he would remember and have Chan for the rest of eternity. He drowned out the sound of the cheering and applause, his focus now only on Chan. His smile was just as bright as the room as he went over and engulfed the seraph in a tight embrace, Chan reciprocating the action with a smile just as large.
After a moment of feeling Chan's warmth, Minho pulled away, another question coming to mind. He turned to Felix, still in Chan's arms. The seraph wasn't going to let go of him. "Wait, Mydaeil. Can we still be together? I mean... he's a seraph. I'm an angel... we're on opposite ends in terms of ranking. We're not even supposed to be in the same room as each other, let alone be romantically involved."
Fear washed through Minho, hoping not to hear what he thought he was going to hear. He knew the rules. He knew that they weren't allowed to be together. But would there be an exception made?
"That's not in my jurisdiction. It's up to my assigned seraph. Which, not that you're aware, but there were some complications with her, unfortunately. So, I've been assigned a new seraph."
"Oh, I'm sorry. What happened to Erelah?" Minho asked. Erelah had been Felix's former assigned seraph. She was generally a caring celestial, but she was occasionally overbearing.
"Don't worry about that. That's not important for you. What is important for you is my new seraph," Felix announced, hoping that Minho would catch the drift. Minho stood, waiting for Felix to give a name, and Felix then realized that the angel wasn't picking it up. He sighed and pointed one of his heads in Chan's direction.
Minho's gaze followed the direction of the head, meeting eyes with Chan, who was smiling at him. Minho furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "What does Malchediel have to do wi- oh!"
Felix and Chan both laughed, and Minho grew flustered and embarrassed. He buried his head in Chan's chest. He was glad that they were both still in human form. Though, he was curious to know what Chan looked like as a seraph. While they all had the same general form, there were certain details that were different, such as the detail of their wings or their eyes.
"It's up to Malchediel to decide. And I'm pretty sure you and I both know his answer," Felix chuckled.
Minho excitedly looked at Chan, pushing himself back against his chest. "I'm not going to hurt you ever again. I could never do something like that again."
"I'd appreciate it if you didn't," Chan laughed. He held onto Minho tightly, not wanting to let him go. He knew that he would have to eventually, but at this moment, he just wanted Minho to stay with him for the rest of eternity.

Well. I guess this brings us to the end of I'm Seeing Angels. I know this chapter is short, but there isn't much to add to it. I hope it's okay. I want to leave the ending here as it just seems to fit. At least it's a happy ending!
I hope that you've enjoyed the story! Thank you for reading!
But don't worry! There will be an epilogue. So technically, one more chapter.
