"Hmph... I understand now." An adult woman, with long braided violet hair behind her back says as she slowly levitates down on the platform you were currently standing on. You were still collapsed on the ground, terrified of looking upwards due to the fact that that voice you just heard... that voice was so clear and apparent that you knew exactly who it came from.
"...Lady Raiden... Nice to finally meet you." You say, your voice shaking as you try to stand up and face her. You already noticed that the place you are in right now is no longer where you were a second ago. Definitely not the garden, and definitely not the school.
"You don't seem scared... Good. This will make all of this easier." She says, her eyes closed as her feet touches the ground. Her body eases up and the atmosphere of this... plane gets lighter and brighter as well. You feel your heart calm down as you breathe out.
"...Why exactly have you brought me here?" You ask calmly, knowing and reassuring yourself that she can't legally kill you. Well, if she did, no one would stop her but, it still isn't a good look for her so, you try to relax yourself with that thought. Her eyes open slightly, almost in a mysterious and cold-hearted way.
"Well, I was about to reprimand you for causing such trouble but, now I know why. That silly little fox... She's still here, huh..." She mumbles the last parts of her sentence but, as she lays her hand on her chin, she now bears a look of melancholy and sentimentality. You then finally connect it.
"Fox..? Are you perhaps referring to Miko..?" You ask, trying to make sure before suddenly conspiring on it or assuming the worst. If she was referring to Miko... that might be alright since it was practically Miko's job to keep an eye on Raiden but, knowing that, and knowing the fact that Shrine Maidens are long gone now, she really shouldn't be here anymore.
"Who else would I be referring to? She is... a rather mysterious, cold, unrelenting, merciless, and mischievous fox. To this day, I wondered how she had fallen to that one single enemy..." Raiden says, her face now looking in pain. You stumble, not knowing how to react to the information you had just received.
"So.. I was right huh... She's... dead?" You confusedly, hesitantly, and sorrowfully ask one last time as your voice carries a heavy tone just thinking about the truth. Raiden says, her eyes looking as if she knows exactly what you were thinking of, what you were feeling, and what you were hoping.
"For more than a hundred years now, unfortunately." She says, her arms now crossed as she looks as if she was willing to answer any of your questions. Just... like a teacher. You swallow, your heart feeling heavier than it was earlier.
