As The World Slowly Evanesces

"You know, I should feel surprised and amazed like before but, I just feel... happy." She says, leaning her back and using her arms for support so she doesn't fall. She looks really relieved and really grateful so, you feel happy too, knowing you were the cause of this. So, even if she does disappear, at least you made her dreams come true.

"Well, as long as you're not feeling anything negative, that's good to hear." You tell her, sitting down on the tree stump in front of her, also relaxing yourself since, well, you've used so much magic energy today that it was kind of tiring. You're happy that today felt like a very productive day.

"Why would I ever feel negative? You're out here granting me every single one of my wishes, I could never feel negative with that." She says, just having an ever-present smile on her face. But, rather than the one that you saw her wear before getting to meet her... it was now a pure and genuine smile.

"I guess so." You mumble in reply, slightly blushing at her beauty. Then, you see her put her hands together as she starts to chant some sort of spell. Her hands start glowing purple, surrounded by what seems to be cherry blossoms. Finally, she shoots it upwards, changing what was once wisteria into sakura.

"Now, that should do the trick! With these new beautifully grown petals, I might even still be alive when you're gone." She says, laughing happily afterwards. You then smile, standing up and looking at each and every tree that was around both of you. You had never thought of the possibility that both of you will become as close as you are to each other like right now. But, you were happy about it. 

"Come on, don't say that. I won't leave. If you're talking about death, then I'll be here as a ghost." You reply, genuinely feeling that way. If you ever die before she does, you will use any sort of magic you can to change into a ghost and stay in this world with her. That way, even in death, you'll still be together, and you'll still be fulfilling all of her dreams.

"What~? You're gonna be copying me~? How... unoriginal...?" She says but then pauses, noticing herself glowing.

"Miko..? What's happening? Why are you glowing? Is this some sort of magic trick?" You ask, a little concerned but hoping that she was just showing off her skills and abilities in happiness that she's finally free.

"N...No, I.. I've never had something like this happen before...?" She states, looking over at her whole body. Her legs, her arms, her chest, her stomach... every single part of her is glowing and... seemingly scattering.

"...Miko?!" You yell in a panic as she falls to the ground, her feet no longer present in her body. You lay her on your arms with her head on one of your hands as your other hand utilitizes magic in assessing her current situation. You see her panicking, using her hands to feel her face but... they go right through her.
