Circumventing Hysteria

"So... long story short... you got rejected? Brutally rejected?" Mona asks, looking at you with pity in her eyes. You sigh, feeling like you want to cry after reliving all of it again. That's the thing with these kinds of situations. You want to talk to someone about it but, when you do, you have to explain it in detail which means you're basically reliving it all over again.

"...Yes. Long story short indeed." You say, although not really being a 'long story short' kind of thing due to the fact that it's been 30 minutes since the first ever part of the story. You simply sigh once again as you glance at Scaramouche and Mona both staring blankly at the floor, seeming to be deep in thought. Suddenly,

"But... isn't she partly correct? I mean, do you really expect getting together with someone that could be a ghost or a phantom? She might even be telling you to run away before she possesses you or something." Scaramouche says, raising a very good point but, you don't feel like Miko is going to do something like possessing someone.

"That's... true but still, I can't exactly control what I feel towards someone and... whenever I love someone, I love them with all my heart and that's a problem I'm still trying to fix." You say, sighing but this time, it's deeper. You hated the fact that you put your all into a relationship that might not even work out in the end. Hell, even before the relationship starts, you're already putting your all into it. And just seeing the other person not doing the same puts you in misery.

"It's not necessarily a problem. It's a good thing, rather. When you love someone deeply, and that someone is actually right for you, it isn't a problem at all. You just need to learn self-control." Mona says, smirking at you a bit. 

"Unfortunately, that's also something I'm trying to fix." You say, already thinking about your life choices. An awkward silence breaches itself into the room. You waited for them to say something but it looks like both of them are deep in thought. Probably theorizing or working up some sort of conspiracy to make you forget about Miko. Well, if they do, you probably wouldn't follow. You stand up, getting their attention.

"Well, now that I'm feeling kind of better letting it all out, do you want some coffee? Something to eat perhaps?" You ask both of them, standing directly in front, waiting for a reply.

"No thanks, I'm good on coffee after drinking 4 cups of it." Mona says, waving her hand in dismissal before she goes back into her thinking face. Which is... her staring at the wall while her mouth was constantly mumbling words so quickly that you would think she was rapping.

"Scaramouche? Want something? You did kind of help me too." You turn your head and stare at Scaramouche, looking drained and staring at the ground. He looks exhausted, probably even more than you despite not being the one to tell the story. All of a sudden, he looks up at you.
