Peaceful. That is the first word Jimin would use to describe his surroundings. He didn't have any knowledge of his current location but was a little bit glad that he was alone in the serene environment.
The prince sat in the middle of a field filled with blue roses, the thorns clearly visible on the stems. He didn't mind though, he just enjoyed the beautiful sky above his head. A smile crept up to his face as he gazed at the clouds moving freely in the sky. A soft breeze kissed his skin as he closed his eyes to embrace it.
"Hurry up!" Jimin heard someone say. He opened his eyes and saw two maids running in his direction. It was like they were about to walk right on top of the prince which caused him to move aside quickly.
"Always watch where you are going!" He ordered angrily but the servant girls didn't seem to hear him because they didn't even glance back at him. He was about to scoff when his eyes landed on the huge castle in front of him.
He was certain that wasn't there before.
The two maids knocked on the gate and it was soon opened up to reveal an older woman. "Have you brought the herbs?" She questioned, eyeing the duo intently.
"Yes we did, Lady Hyeonju." One replied, showing the older woman a basket which she held, filled with freshly uprooted plants, bark and leaves.
Her gray hair was wrapped in a tight bun as she nodded her head swiftly, "Very good. Let us hurry now. The prince of Grogia is about to be born."
Jimin raised an eyebrow. He was right there. And he is definitely a grown man, not a baby.
Not getting the answers he needed, he followed the trio into the castle. It was definitely his castle, his eyes gazing at all the familiar artifacts. As they walked deeper into the castle, Jimin realized where they were heading.
He stopped in his tracks abruptly as he stared at the tall, muscular man who was staring out the window with a blank expression. His hair was neatly trimmed, his clothes simple yet elegant and his composure was spot on. His eyes showed that of anxiety but the way he carried himself didn't show that at all.
"F...father?" The prince croaked out. "Father!" He screamed but the king could not her his cries. It seemed like he was invisible to everyone. Tears seemed to well up in his eyes as he laid eyes on the man. He just wanted to run to him and embrace him in a bone crushing hug. How much he has missed the man he called father.
Suddenly, the cries of a baby filled the air as the King smiled brightly, rushing to the bedroom door. The doors were opened by the same old woman Jimin had saw earlier with a crying child cradled in her arms. The prince watched the whole scene in confusion. The king took the baby out of the woman's hands and held it gently.
"It's a boy." She smiled, but it wasn't said with much enthusiasm. The king didn't seem to notice as he cradled the crying baby lovingly. Jimin walked closer to his father, now fully aware that no one could see him. He casted his eyes on the child. He had chubby red rosy cheeks and long eyelashes. "Your Majesty." The woman sighed but he wasn't listening. He was trying to make the baby boy stop crying. "Your Majesty....Your Majesty!"
The king halted his actions immediately and gave a confused look to the old woman beside him. "What is it woman? Can you not see I am busy with my son?" He complained as the old maiden's eyes grew glassy. Tears immediately spilled out of her eyes as she fell on the floor with her face buried in her hands. Jimin's face warped into that of sorrow as he watched the woman cry.
