When we got home, Mom was on our case. The second we walked in, she was at our side. She looked at my father then to me. "What happened? You two were supposed to be hunting. Are you two okay?" She asked in pure panic, looking to Dad.

My dad set my bag down. "There was some trouble.." He told her.

"Trouble? What happened?" Mom asked.

"Some guys were bugging her," Dad said to her and I was able to hear a faint growl in his words as he spoke. "They weren't being very nice to her at all." He added, hiding his anger.

My mom looked at me. "Oh my! Are you okay?" She asked me, walking up to me.

"Yeah. I-I'm fine.." I say glancing to my Father.

"Are you lying to me?" She asked.

"No," I reply.

She turned to my dad, knowing he'd have the truth. "Is she okay?" She asked my Father who looked at her with a faint smile, dipping his head as he would in his wolf form.

"Elsa, she's fine.." He replied.

"Are you lying?"

He smirked. "Have I ever lied to you?"

She looked at him for a brief second. "All right. You two got me this time.." We were silent for a moment. "What about your hunting?" Mom asked.

"Do you still wanna go?" Dad asked me, turning to me.

"Yeah, I guess."

"You don't have to go, you can stay here," He told me.

"Whether she goes or not, you still need to hunt, Hiccup! It's been three days.." Mom told him. "You'll lose your energy,"

"Yeah, I know," Dad answered her.

"I'll go," I say.

They both looked at me. "You sure?" They both ask.

"Yeah. I don't want you to be alone.."

He smirked. "Karli, I've been alone most of my existence." He told me.

"I know."

He was silent for a moment. "Okay, let's go."

-The Forest-

After an hour, my Father and I have caught enough to feed an entire Pack. We eventually got Mom and decided to camp out here. Mom brought two tents with her, and food for herself. We had found a spot in the woods that was hidden enough. Dad was in his wolf half asleep by the fire mom and I made.

Mom was sitting beside Dad, keeping herself warm by his body heat and the fire. But to me, it looked like it wasn't working. I was in my human form, sitting across from them on the other side of the fire, pulling apart a sandwich.

My Father's ear twitched as my mom shivered. He wrapped his tail around her, pulling her closer, allowing her to bury herself in his fur. "If your cold, you can always tell me," He muttered resting his head on his paws again.

She curled up to him, then looked to me. "What are you doing?" She asked.

"I wanna try fresh-kill with human food," I say. "Y'know, since I can eat both, I wanna see what it would taste like."

My dad lifted his head. "You mean, you are going to put the fresh-kill in the sandwich." He asked.

"Yeah."

His ear twitched in disgust. "That's just gross."

"It's only gross to you because you don't eat our food."

"Exactly, and I'm going to keep it that way." He replied resting his head down again.

I smile and shake my head. "You know Dad, you could try Human food," I say. "You might actually like it."

"I tried that 7 years ago, Karli." Mom told me. "With a piece of Steak."

"I still ate it!" He replied.

"Yeah, because I told you it was cooked fresh-kill."

His head shook in denial. "It tasted nothing like it, but I was hungry... So I ate it."

I throw a slice of ham at my dad, hitting him in the top of his head. He shook his head, making it fall. "You two stop arguing. You sound like an old Married couple." I say.

"We are an old Married Couple, Karli!" Dad said to me, glancing to Mom before looking down at what I just threw at him. He then looked at me. "Why'd you throw a slice of ham at me?" He asked.

"I dunno, I wanted to get your attention," I say. "Also, try it. It's kind of like Hog!"

"Whistling works." Mom said.

I watch him lower his head again. "Whatever." He muttered. "And I'm not eating that!"

I sigh, looking at the two of them. Standing up, I stretch then start towards my tent. "I'm tired, I'm going to try and sleep," I say to my parents.

Mom and Dad both looked at me. "Alright, Honey!" Mom said to me, staying close to my Father.

"Good night," I say to them.

"Night." They say in sync.

I smile. Those two are too alike. I often wonder how life would be if Dad had changed Mom... Would things be like this? I wanted to think about it more, but once I get into my tent, it didn't take me even seconds to fall asleep.
