Hayden (Short!)

The next day, I was actually scared to return to school. I had a fear that those guys would return and my Dad couldn't do anything about it. As I walk through the halls, I see Amber talking to Cheerleaders, and Riley doing, well... Nothing... She's literally so socially awkward. She never talks to anyone. 

I managed to make it to my locker without any harassment. After I open it, I grab some books and some Pens. Quickly, I fix my hair long, messy platinum blonde hair, using the little mirror in my locker. After I was done, I close my locker, walking away. As I walk down the hall, I pick up my pace, unsure why at first, but continued with it. I realized I wasn't watching when I was going when I suddenly walked into someone. I fell to the floor, earning laughter from the school. "Hey!" I snap madly.

"Oh my, are you okay -- are you hurt?"

I look up. There, in front of me, was a teenage boy, who looks sorta my age. He had dark blue eyes and dark brown hair... Almost like my dads. "Hey! Uh -- yeah. I'm fine!" I say.

He helped me up. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah -- I wasn't looking where I was going, and Uh..."

He looked at me, holding my stare. We held the stare for a while. "Oh -- I'm Hayden. Hayden Overland." He told me.

"Uh, Karli. Karli Haddock."

"Karli..." He echoed. "What a beautiful name."

I smile a little. "So Hayden, are you new here?" I ask trying to change the subject.

"Sorta." He said.

"Sorta?"

"My family owns a house here, but we just started living in it again." He told me.

I smile. "That's nice."

We went silent again. At that moment, the bell rang. "Oh.." We both say. I go to walk, but he does at the same time, causing us to walk into each other. "I was--" we both start. "But uh -- you're -- oh -- Uh, okay."

We managed to get out of each other's way. "I'll see you later, Karli." He said to me, as he walked off. I sigh as he walked off... I happen to stare off in his direction. Hayden's... Kinda... Cute!
