Wedding Bells

Eddie's POV

There was a loud knock on the door. Kassie ran over and opened it to see Colton and Gavin. They were a bit dressed up.

"What's going on?"

"We got here as fast as we could."

"Kassidy escaped and he has Y/N." Their eyes went wide.

"We knew about the escape but not about Y/N! Why haven't you called the police?!" I looked down and nodded to Kassie to shut the door.

"Look there is a lot more going on that is a bit of a sensitive subject and we couldn't trust the police. Y/N trusted you both to call you last night so you were the only two we could call."

"What more could be going on besides a serial killer on the loose not to mention an escaped mutant."

"Wait what do you mean- okay so you both have to swear that what you see tonight can be said to anyone or else Y/N and I will both have to leave town." They looked at each other and nodded. "Okay V let them see you." V came out looking at the two trying to seem...less terrifying than normal.

"Holy shit what is that."

"Venom was found by the life foundation during that whole scandals. This is what they were testing on humans. Kassidy has one and that makes the situation even worse. We don't know if Franco is involved but it's possible. We need to know if you two would have the resources to figure out where he might go."

"We know just as much as you. I mean pretty much all the information we have on Kassidy we got from you i n your interview."

"DAMN IT" I punched the table and it broke in half. Hercules barked and I realized what I did. I kept thinking about everything he told me. I looked up and Venom took over. "We will be back in a moment. Eddie needs to grab something." We ran outside and quickly jumped on the roof crossing over to our side of the block jumping in our window. I quickly grabbed all the papers and letters i had gotten from Kassidy before running back to Y/N's apartment.

"What are all those?" Kassie asked. I started scanning through each and every line of text trying to find something.

"Kassidy would write to me even when I wasn't interviewing him." I looked at the last letter he had written to me.

The drawings. The ones on is wall.

I quickly grabbed a blank paper and V started replicating some of them. That's when it hit me.

"Colton do you happen to know where Kassidy was kept before he was transferred to the prison?"

"Yea here I'll pull it up." He typed something in on his phone before handing it to me. I looked at a photo of the building and the location on a map.

"This has to be it. He talked about a cathedral nearby, and his angel...What was the name of the escaped mutant?"

"Frances Barrison. Why do you think there is a connection?"

"Was she kept in the same 'home for troubled youth' as Kassidy before she was transferred to the facility she broke out of?"

"I'll check. Do you think that she is the person he spoke about in his writings?" Colton walked away to make a phone call and Kassie looked up.

"It would make sense. If there were kept there they could have been nearby each other and formed a connection. They say in some prisons you can here the person in the cell beneath or above you through the plumbing pipes." I gave her a confused look. "What me and Y/n watched a lot of investigation shows when we were younger. I mean I am an MP." Annie nodded

"She's right the plumbing systems are how inmates in higher security facilities like that for relationships with one another. I've had lots of clients who would ask if they could get a deal for their partners in those cases." Colton walked back over.

"Frances was also kept there. Some of the old guards reported that they used to talk to each other through the pipes and formed a type of relationship."

"Give me the address of the cathedral I'm getting OUR Y/N back." I could feel Venoms rage fueling my own as I typed the address in on my phone.

We don't need that I have seen it before.

"You aren't going in there alone I'm going with you." Kassie grabbed my arm.

"Kassie not to be rude but you have no idea what Kassidy can do as long as he has a symbiote with him. You remember the 'dog' that attacked Hercules? Well that was the same thing on a limited power supply. This is the same monster that has been killing dozens of people across the city on low fuel and now he has a perfect match with a serial killer. I can't let you get involved with this, Y/N would kill me." Kassie rushed up to me and grabbed me by the shirt.

"I can't just wait here wondering if my best friend who you promised to protect is going to be alive the next time I see her. No I am going and you can't make me stay here."

"WE SAID NO!" I took a deep breath and tried to stay calm. "We both know that Y/N would not want me to let you be put in harms way. I don't care if you are an MP because unless you are a secret Avenger and you have some sort of magical power to fight against this monstrosity you are not going near the fight. In the time we have been arguing over this we could have already been there." She let go of my shirt and huffed. Gavin walked over to her.

"Look me and Colton will drive near by the cathedral and set up in the parking area near by. That way we can keep an eye on everything and we can get to her as soon as it's safe. You can go along with us that way we aren't in the fight. Like Eddie said I think we need to leave it up to him."

"Alright. But you better get her out of there." I nodded and walked outside letting V take over. We quickly jumped on top of a nearby building and started making our way to the cathedral.

Don't worry Eddie. We will save our Nibble.

Y/N's POV

"Here comes the bride here come the bride." Frances hummed as she pulled at my hair. I was so weak at this point she was having to hold my head up. She came to the front and gave me what would have been a sweet smile if not for the circumstances. "Oh don't worry pretty girl. You won't have to stand for the ceremony. I have a nice comfy chair for you to sit in and until we get started I'll let you rest. By know we have about ten minutes until the guest of honor arrives. Better get you some beauty rest. My husband to be wants you awake for when he kills your boyfriend."

"Oh my Angel! Get somewhere where I can't see you so I can move your maid of honor to the main hall. Don't want any bad luck on our special night!" Kassidy's voice rang out from the hall. Frances squealed with glee as she ran to the closet. She gave the okay and I heard Kassidy's footsteps walking over to me. "My my aren't you as pretty as a peach. Only the best for my Angel. Now lets get you sat down to wait for your lover boy." As I felt myself start to black out again I felt somewhat familiar tendrils surround me and for a moment I thought it was V.

"V?" I tried to look but my eyes were so heavy. My body was so used to this feeling that even though I knew who was really holding me, that this was the same monster who planned on killing the two people I loved most, I couldn't help but smile at the sensation as I passed out.
