Stitches

Y/n's Pov

     We finally arrived at the hospital but I had a million questions. What was that thing? Why on earth did Eddie have it? Or did it have Eddie?

     "We need to see a doctor. My friend her apartment got broken into and he cut her side," Eddie said looking at me worried. I couldn't help but smile a little at him as he helped me to a room.

     "Eddie I'm gonna be fine. They've just gotta close up the cut with some stitches then we can finally actually get lunch," I said chuckling. He sighed softly looking at me.

     "Okay well I'm going to call Jack and tell him what happened and that we are going to work on our interview questions at home. Well your place. I just wanna make sure your safe there," he started rambling trying to recover his cool. A snake like tentacle slithered our from his  hoodie.

     "Eddie your rambling in front of Y/n again," it spoke with a low raspy voice. The thing and I stared at each other. "Well you are taking this better that Eddie did. He saw us in the mirror and slammed back into the shower. I think he was unconscious for two hours after that."

    "This isn't a blood loss hallucination then?" I said looking at Eddie. He shook his head.

     "This is-" there was a knock on the door and the creature went back into Eddie. The door opened and a doctor came in.

     "Hello you two. I am Dr. Wooten. I'm sorry to hear about what happened but we can get you fixed up and sent home in about 20 minutes. So let's see this cut," she said smiling at me. I pulled my hoodie up and off before unwrapping my side. The old t-shirt was basically ruined half soaked with blood. "That was a nice make shift compressor," the doctor said looking at the cut. She grabbed two needles and looked at me. "I'm going give you a small bit of anesthesia in the area around the cut then we'll wait a bit for it to take effect. After that I'll clean it up and get to the stitches." She said before giving the injections. I couldn't help but look at Eddie as she cleaned the cut. He looked like he was deep in thought. Maybe he was talking to that thing? He had his signature stubble like he did in every interview I had watched on my phone. He caught me staring and smiled at me. I looked down at my lap.

     "I'm gonna go call Jack and tell him what's going on," he said before walking out to the hall. The doctor looked at me and smiled.

     "You are a very lucky girl." I looked at her confused. "You're boyfriend is very handsome."

     "He-he's not my what no we're not a couple," I said blushing red. She chuckled.

     "Oh really. Well I don't know many girls who just take off their shirts in front of random guys. Besides he seems sweet. Driving you here after all of this."

     "He would have done that for anyone. Eddie's just that kind of guy. Always looking out for people. Finding out the truth and doing what most can't." I said smiling. She gave me a knowing look.

"Girl you've got it bad for this guy. And did you say Eddie? That's where I've seen him before! He has a friend that works here I think," Dr. Wooten finished up the stitches and stood up. "I'll go get you some paperwork to fill out and you will be good to go." Eddie walked in as she walked out.

"Jack said to just take the rest of the day. And you will be pleased to know that Nick will now be looking for a new job," he said with a proud grin on his face. I chuckled and looked at him.

"So do you really know someone that works here?" I asked. He nodded and the creature slithered out again.

"He is the one who took Anne. And the one who used that horrible machine on us." I looked at the two as the door opened and the creature hid itself again.

"Eddie! It's good to see you man. And good to see that you aren't the person on the hospital bed," the man said smiling. Eddie chuckled awkwardly looking at him.

"Hey Dan. Good to see you too. How's the relationship going?" He asked.

"It's going pretty well. Now who's this? Are you two?" Dan gestured to the two of us.

"No no. Dan this is Y/n, my new partner at work. Y/n this is Dan. My ex fiancée's boyfriend." Oh so that's why he seemed so awkward about this situation. "I got a...parasite back when I was looking into the life foundation and Dan helped me out with it."

Eddie's pov

Helped?! He told you I was killing you and used that machine to hurt us! And I am NOT a PARASITE!

"Anyway Dr. Wooten asked me to drop off these papers so I'll let you two be on your way. I'll tell Anne you said hey," with that he left. Venom slithered out and looked me in the eyes.

"Can you quit calling me a parasite!"

"Sorry but I can't just say I had an alien inside me to a doctor especially when he and Anne think you are dead!" I said looking at him. V growled a little.

"Fine. But you better give me some chocolate later." He said pouting. We looked over at Y/n who had started giggling. I felt my face flush.

"What?" I asked confused.

"You two argue like an old married couple," she said with a grin. I chuckled and smiled. "So that is an alien. And you two are sharing the same body?" She asked. I nodded.

"Pretty much. I guess I should actually introduce you to him. Y/n, this is Venom, but I usually call him V."
