Y/n's Pov
"I'm bringing sexy back."
I stirred awake to my alarm going off on my phone. I moved to sit up and realized I was laying on something. Or rather someone. Oh my god I am laying on top of Eddie Brock. His right arm dangling off the couch. The other was...around me. Holy shit. His five o'clock shadow was more evident than it was last night. There was another familiar feeling around my waist. It felt like one of Ven's tendrils had wrapped around as well. My face was bright red. Here I am. Sitting in the Eddie Brock's lap. The same Eddie Brock who inspired me to become a journalist and who scared off a burglar for me. He stirred awake looking up at me. That's when I realized my alarm was still going off.
"Dirty baaabe (uh huh). You see these shackles baby I'm your slave~"
"Am I still asleep?" Eddie asked. His face was a bit flushed. I sat there as I pulled my phone out of my pocket struggling to turn the alarm off.
"I-I'm so sorry that must have seemed incredibly weird. My phone selects a random song from a playlist so that my brain doesn't get used to the same sound in the morning and not wanting to wake up," I looked down at my hands the entire time I was rambling. Then I noticed something. Neither the tendril or his arm had moved yet. I felt my face go even redder as I fidgeted. Eddie's body jerked slightly at this.
Eddie's Pov
I opened my eyes slowly hearing some kind of music playing. There was a weight on my lap. I looked up and saw Y/n looking down at me.
"Dirty baaaaabe (uh huh). You see these shackles baby I'm your slave."
I felt my cheeks heat up and she sputtered out an apology.
Eddie. She is sitting right on your-
V I know where she is sitting please don't make this more awkward than it already i-
She moved around nervously in my lap. Oh no. Please not today god. Oh god she noticed it. The curse of a man's morning.
Y/n's Pov
Oh my god he has a...i need to get up right now. Just don't hurt him. Or yourself. Holy shit that is um it's there alright. I carefully moved out of the way pulling my hood over my flushed face.
"I'm so sorry I fell asleep during the movie. My pain medication must make me tired and I must have fallen over onto you oh god..." I started rambling.
"Well that was V's doing." Eddie said rubbing the back of his neck. I looked at him confused. V slipped out and looked between the two of us.
"Eddie is very warm. So since you seemed cold I pulled you next to him. That way we could also keep you from falling on the side where your wound is." He said. Eddie's face was very flushed as he looked very interested in his hoodie strings. I nodded smiling a little. I guess I got onto Ven's good side for him to be looking out for me too. I moved to stand up and winced letting out a small groan of pain. They both looked at me.
"Shit that is way more painful when I'm not drugged up..." I winced sitting back down. "Damn I've got to get ready for work."
"Nope. You are not. Our interview with Nick isn't until around 6. So I talked to Jack and he said for you to just stay home until then. And if you need someone to stay with you I can do that." Eddie looked at me like I was going to try and go against it. I went to move again and flinched from the pain.
"Alright alright. I'll chill out. But you've got a job to do mister. First my medicine and then you um..you uh should probably go take care of that situation," I said gesturing downstairs. He flushed red and nodded. Grabbing a water Eddie handed me my medication. "If you need to take a shower or something feel free to. I might have an extra hoodie if you want it. Most of mine are big on me anyway."
"I think I might take you up on that offer. A shower sounds great," he said smiling at me. I nodded.
"When you are done there is some more food in the kitchen. I'm just gonna lay back down since I need to take it easy..." I said carefully laying out across the couch. Both Eddie and Ven smiled at me. Although Ven always seems to have a grin on his face. I chuckled as they walked off to the bathroom.
He truly has a bit of a package down there. Stop that why are you still thinking about it! It's just a guy thing it happens to them in the mornings for no reason. But still...NOPE not gonna think about it anymore.
I couldn't stop thinking about how nice Eddie was being to me. We met yesterday. One day ago. And he already had done so much for me. If I have to look on the bright side of things, at least Eddie was as considerate and kind as he was in all of those news reports.
