Y/n's Pov
After work Eddie and I went out separate ways. I mean we both went to our own apartments. Hercules and I walked home, even though Ven offered to be a side car for Herc.
"Those silly boys. We'll be just fine isn't that right Hercules," I smiled at my pup as we walked home. I couldn't help but watch my surroundings as we walked. After last night my nerves have been off the charts thinking about the fact that around any corner Franco could be waiting to grab me. I was alone. If they had a gun Eddie and Ven weren't here to shield me. My breathing was frantic at this point. I heard Hercules whine slightly and tried to calm down.
"Hey you!"
I panicked and started to run. Every part of my body kicked into overdrive as I bolted away Hercules keeping my pace. I had to get away. Get away from him. He's gonna catch me and gods know what he'll do if he does. As I got closer to my apartment I got even more paranoid. I can't just lead him to the place I live. I need to go somewhere else. That's when I noticed a familiar shop. I burst through the door of Mrs. Chen's shop panting as I tried to catch my breath.
"Hey what do you think you are doing bolting in- y/n are you alright?" Her voice went from annoyed to concerned the second she saw my face.
"A man. Chasing me. Had to run. Don't want to be caught." I gasped out sitting next to Hercules as he tried to calm my nerves. Mrs. Chen looked out her door then at me.
"What man?" She asked confused about what was happening. She placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Last night. At our interview. A man broke in. Looking for me. Had a gun." Her eyes went wide as she went to grab her phone.
"I'm sure Eddie and his parasite would be able to help I'll grab his numb-"
"No! Please don't call them. I..I don't want to be a burden. They've been helping me out the past few days and I don't want to bother them anymore," I exclaimed having finally caught my breath. I looked down at Hercules and sighed. "Did you see anyone outside?" She shook her head. "I'm sorry for worrying you Mrs. Chen. After last night I've been all worked up over this thing and my brain gets the best of me sometimes. I need to grab a few things for dinner then I'll be on my way." She nodded helping me to my feet.
When we got home I locked the door and flopped down onto my couch with a groan.
"I'm such a mess Herc. What am I going to do?" I rolled over to see my sweet dog holding my favorite cover. "Thank you my sweet boy," I said scratching his head. He always knows what I need. I got up to make dinner knowing it would calm me down. After all what's a better comfort food than pasta.
/a few hours later/
Pasta slowly turned into pasta and wine. Then it turned into whiskey. Damn why did whiskey have to be so good. I got up and slowly made my way to the couch smiling as I balled up under the covers. Then boredom struck. What to do what to do.
"I know!" I declared as I pulled out my phone. I quickly dialed a number and pressed call putting the phone on speaker.
"Hello?" A tired female voice said.
"Kas! My favorite being on this earth! I miss you a lot ya know. It's weird being here and you there!" I rambled as I heard movement on the other line.
"Y/n I miss you too but do you know what time it is? And are you drunk?" Kas said exasperatedly.
"I may or may not be. But does that mean I can't call you about my new job and shit?" There was a sigh on the other line.
